I'm using wooden stakes and using floral tape to tape on the blooms at the top, so the problem arises with the stakes not being flexible.  Going to head to Michael's (they know me by my first name now, hahaha) to see about getting some small styrofoam to put at the top to space out the flowers to make the round shape bigger.

The good news is that I LOVE the colors, and that it's turning out exactly how I want there.  AND the smaller shape here is going to work well for the bridesmaids bouquets I'll make (which will just be the white and green flowers).  I'm going to put some pearls and swav. crystals inside some of the blooms and do a ribbon wrap at the bottom.

Wish me luck!!  Hope I can solve this today ---- been wanting to check this off my list for ages!!!

Well up at 6am out the house by 6:30a to get my car inspected, brakes & oil (winter prep)... I was able to work on our wedding ceremony script & vows. So with two hours to wait, I was able to get a lot done.  So after running around and back in the house by 11:30a I decided to take advantage of the rain/snow & friends (not many like to bundle up etc...) We are shoe queens so the rain or snow don't mix well with our collection (I digress).  Anyway, I finished all 55 Guest DND signs (minus 5...those that have extra large holes)   Tools:  Fiskars Circle Cutter, Memories scissors (part of my kit), tweezers, bling & Martha Stewart's ballpoint-tip glue pin.

When it comes to grocery shopping, car stuff etc.. I'm out as early!  So when most crowds tend to get somewhere at 10, 11a I'm on my way home.  #I can't stand shopping when there are tons of people around.

the DND look GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aww thanks so much!  Trust me, before things go to print I verify, re-verify and sometimes re-do!  The plan is definitely to relax and spend more quality time with the men folks as I won't be so caught-up in planning.

Thanks lady ;-)  I use the glue point to put the bling on.  It is a fine point, so its awesome.  It is blue in color but dries clear.  It's so perfect for those little things.

And thanks for the reminder to get my car inspected for winter, LOL!

Hi Iyates and Welcome!

When is your wedding?

The hotel through Zuniga aka Deco Cancun can supply your decorations for your ceremony via their packages listed on Palace website (sapphire, diamond, etc.) In addition, you can bring your own to save money & get MP to set them up for you.  Feel free to browse through this site (many many pages) and ask as many questions as you like, that's what we are here for.

I stumbled across this website kinda by accident but so happy I did.  You all seem so much more organized than I am.... I think I may need to step it up a bit. I have bought my dress and sent out my invites and everyone has booked.  I keep trying to contact the WC in Miami but I get very vague responses....is anyone else getting that?

I too am interested in the different locations at the hotel. I have 34 people coming and want to do the private reception. I was going to do it outside but nervous about bugs at night.  I am so loving the DIY's Im seeing on here! VERY impressive!!!

Does anyone know if the hotel supplies decor for the reception or just for the ceremony?

This site has so far been helpful....thanks to all you ladies1-pray.gif

My wedding is April 19th and I decided to go with the Amethyst Rose package...LOVE purple.  You all are so good at this.....Im a little behind and not a DIY kind of girl (i wish I was). So, Im thinking getting the resort to supply all the decor may be my best bet.

Wow, that's awesome you will be there with several of us ;-)  How long you will be on the resort?  I'm there from the 17th-22nd then headed to LeBlanc for 5 days.

Anyway, just to let you in on a little secret (Shhhhhh) not many of us (especially myself) was a DIY person before this site.  However; with wanting to save, splurge a little on my wedding dress and shoes, I decided to try to save where I could.  And this was the way to go.  First and foremost you need to know that your wedding package is SOLELY for your wedding ceremony only!  This may not be a big deal if you have a small guest list and you don't plan on doing a "formal reception"  because that would mean that the latter would be all white unless you either purchased your own linen or more decor from Zuniga which at current averages $3.00 for 1 yes 1 sash.. Hmmm clearing my throat whiIe said HELL NO.  LOL

So FI & I chose to do the complimentary session, whereby we are bringing our own decor (except flowers). MP will move these very same decorations to our reception for a $65.00  set-up fee. Just something to think about.

Also, I'm not to sure if you read (many many many threads ago) that I offered for those brides that will be at Moon Palace that week (I get married on the 21st) to come to my reception toward the latter part so that we can all take pictures in our wedding dresses.  You are more than welcome to join us if your schedule permits.

Thank you!!!  It's still a work in progress.  Will post more pics when I'm further along + bridal bouquets & groomsmen bout's.  My BM's dresses are turquoise/teal.  That's why their bouquets will just be the white & green colors.  :)

Did you use wooden stems when you made smaller bunches?  I feel like the hydrangeas are difficult to use except in the bunch they come in.  Great idea to make smaller bunches then tape them together!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
