Moon Palace 2012 Brides

Recommended Posts

These were sent out last week to those that already booked.  Upon others booking, I will immediately send these out.  Since, we ordered extra custom stamps from Zazzle for our passport invites, we will use these on the brochure (yeah for extras).

Happy DIYing

Whew, just when I think that I am finished posting for the day, I am surprised by yet another FAB item.  Red-i By Chelsea has done it again!  I can go on and on about Chelsea's great customer service, attention to detail, unique custom ideas, beautiful spirit etc.  However, I would be so redundant from my previous post and review of her work.  So to KISS (Keep it Sweet and Simple) I will simply post the pictures.

I welcome the Marrakesh Infinity Bracelet to my current TTD collection of Barefoot Jewels.

Hello brides! I am new to this and have been scoping out the "MP 2012 Brides" thread for a while today to try and get some idea on where to begin wedding planning!

I am looking to book at MP in May 2013... But i wanted to get a few questions answered before I begin anything...

- Who do you use for a travel agent? I have a friend who is a travel agent but she never booked a destination wedding before so i am hesitant on asking her... does the MP provide any travel agents?

- Do you know when I can book for a 2013 wedding at MP? Do i have to wait until January 2012 to book?

- How much do you have to put down as a deposit at the MP when you book a wedding? (I am planning on doing the complimentary package)

Any information would REALLY REALLY help!!!! I know I have plenty of time to plan but I just want to get a jump start on certain things!

Thanks cool.gif

Hello dzaccaria & welcome.gif

Let's start from the bottom-up shall we ;-)

I would highly suggest that you contact Moon Palace either through the their website (wedding request) and or by phone to determine when you can book.  For the 2012 we actually had to wait until Jan 2012 to book so I'm not sure if this would apply for 2013 or if they changed.  MP does change things quite often as you will see.  For a complimentary wedding, there is no deposit however; when you fill out the form you will have to supply a credit card number.

As far as TA's (Travel Agent's) this will vary from bride to bride.  For myself, I took into consideration that I have "older guest coming" who want to be able to see & go to take their money to an individual.  Since this includes family members we used my FI's TA who he dealt with for every trip that he has ever taken.  Some used Wright Travel Agency which is a great vendor on this site.

I highly suggest checking out MP 2010, and 2011 Bride Forum as well.

Welcome!!

- I am using a travel agent. Choosing one was easy since we had previously worked with her for my FI's cousin's destination wedding back in 2008. I would suggest finding someone local to you who specializes in destination weddings as there are a lot of booking/group details that an experienced destination wedding TA might be better with.

- If you're doing the complimentary package, there's no deposit. They do take your credit card info because there will be a $300 deposit charged if, and only if, you cancel within 45 days of the wedding. If you don't cancel within that timeframe, they won't charge anything on your card.

Great to meet you, and happy planning cheesy.gif

Thanks so much, she is totally awesome!  I don't know what's in your budget but I have become a big fan of her work and will promote here wherever I can.

confused.gif I honestly don't recall talking to you about stones...but I purchased several items from Chelsea which I posted on this forum and others.  Chalk it up to my head and not my heart.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
