Moon Palace 2012 Brides

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone! I am newly engaged and new to the site. I can say that all your conversations have been so helpful to me during this process. I was assigned my WC today. And also got my confirmation for my April 2013 wedding. I thought that it was strange that they wanted me to send a fax of the front and back of my credit card...just wondering if that's legit or if anyone else was uncomfortable with that request...feedback is greatly appreciated! We are going with the amber collection and they want 300 down too. So we have two weeks to get them 1200 dollars which isn't a big deal besides the photocopy thing. Thank you!!

WOW you girls are all so creative!  And everything looks wonderful!

Coconoir-  I also got the blumeboxes but in the bright white so then I can decorate them how I want.  I'm thinking about using ribbon if I can find a blue that matches and printing the monogram of just our initials on a sticker to put on them

Yes they will ;-)  Can't wait for the new printer at work to be linked with our computers so that we can print.  SO much $$ is saved with having the ability to do this.  Our guest had fun doing our survey on the beach bags and with the exception of a few older persons most said "no way"  so I'm more than confident that these inexpensive (carriers) that will hold all the fly stuff will be grand.  Ahhh....

ndvidul,

Thanks so much and I barely sleep.  I typically average 4-5hrs a night.  I know I know but my best work is done at night when all the men folks are sleep, the words that I don't hear are "Chanel can you do this (from my staff) or babe where is, or mom can I" LOL  so night work is awesome for me.  My day and sometimes evening job depending on what's happening sometimes allows me to have an  hour or two early morning to print my things off (I'm the VP of Health Services at a Family Planning Clinic).  Although I can print whenever, I choose to only do it in the am so that my staff won't come in with tons and tons of stuff, as there are 30 of them... can you imagine.  My CEO would flip out.

Definitely PM or email me, I got you covered!  I love Staples and Office Max but I always use my Amazon scanner (app) to see if it's cheaper on amazon.  Love it. As long as the B&N has a Starbucks we are working with something ;-)

FI is so sweet.... but he knows not to mess with my mail LOL  Definitely have to get my mail person a giftcard for Christmas.

I actually really like the veil --- it looks classic and elegant.  Which, from what I gather on your website and postings on here, suit who you are as a person too!

Oh no on the PS3!!  You were so excited!  Seems like the FI learned his lesson!

HILARIOUS about your gold card.  I'm so jealous!!  Michael's is one of my top 3 stores (besides Office Max and Barnes & Noble ---- I'm a huge dork!!!), and I still have a red card!  But I've only begun my DIY projects, bwahaha!  (LOL)

Hope you have a great night with the FI!  Can't wait to hear about your decorations soon.

Talking about creativity, you  have this pegged!  I love the details and the words that can be incorporated throughout your wedding.  May I suggest that in order for guest not to kick your rose petals that are placed by the chairs, that you have material hang from one side to another in the back, to block of entrance from that way... this will be removed once it time for the bridal party to walk down the aisle as everyone would be seated.  Otherwise great work!

First off, I'm floored by the creativity and generosity of you ladies being willing to share your ideas!!  This thread is full of awesome synergy.  LOVE it.  Inspiring.

Secondly, I'm really encouraged because after racking my brain for DAYS on how to decorate for our ceremony (and using lots of printing of beach ceremony templates and colored pencils), I think it's all coming together about what we're going to do!  Here's my crude drawing, haha:

Photo of 1st Draft Ceremony Decs.jpg

It's still a rough draft.  I may play with the colors a bit more and try silver chair sashes instead of teal, since the bridesmaid dresses are teal, and I don't want it to be too "tealy" lol.  We'll only put sashes on the aisle chairs in order to save on cost.

The words hanging on the chairs will say "Love is the Treasure of Life."  It's the saying we have on our invitation.  (I also want to get shepherd's hooks for our cocktail hour and bring the words there to hang. :)  I make some other words, too, for the cocktail hour, and put them in a container, and people can change the wording on the hooks for fun and photos --- kind of like refrigerator magnets... i.e.  Just adding a "MY" word to this bunch, you could change the words to say "Love of my Life" and take a picture with them.)  In this pic, the words are silver and outlined in blue.  I may try to do them in brown instead so that I can hang up the words in one of our rooms when we get home (our home has more natural, earthy colors).

The flowers in glass are what they have pictured in the Sapphire collection.

I haven't included the judges table yet because I don't know what to put on it.

Any ideas or feedback as I'm playing with this?     feedback.gif   (Btw, I don't know why this smiley man has angry eyebrows.  I'm definitely not angry, haha.)

Also, this means that I've kind of changed my colors to include lime green!!!  I feel very happy about this because now the colors for our flowers are coming together much better, too!  Now, my colors are teal, lime green, silver, and dark blue.  Feeling very encouraged!

Goodnight, lovely ladies!

Great minds my fellow MP bride.  They are by far the cutest green invention!  FI and I decided to send them back because of the color.  With the flowers being pink, and the blumebox being pink FI said "where's the blue"  And because I am not totally captured by the look I'm sending it back.  We are reverting to our original plan (I gather) will reveal after more research ;-)

Ooooh, yes ---- don't want anything disturbed.  Do you mean drape material on the sides of the chairs lining the aisle (where the petals are)?  That way, guests don't enter the chairs that way and keep everything intact?  Great suggestion!!

Sounds like nighttime is your best productive time!  And that work schedule/supplies are also helping you with your DIYs. :)  Gotta run to Martial Arts (I've lost some fat and gained some muscle in the last few months, woo hoo!!).... can't wait to read your PM later.

P.S.  Made some tweaks to the decorations and will post later...

I'll email you once home & settled. Out since 6a shopping with the family. My son is a greenbelt orange stripe in Tae Kwon Do. What martial arts are you studying?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
