So today I reviewed the wedding contract that Michelle from the Miami office sent me and it looked great until I noticed the clause about no outside vendors. Should I be really concerned about this? Does anyone have a list of who the accepted photographers are at Moon Palace?

 

Also, can anyone give me a ballpark as to how Del Sol's prices compare to the packages offered by the resort? It sounds like I'd have to book a room for them to stay so they could come on site but a lot of the reviews I read make them sound like they're worth it!

Hola Ted731,

 

Most if not all contracts have that clause written in them.  Some fight to have it remove and/or reworded.  The bottom line is you can use an outside vendor however; you will end up either paying a day pass $88 or a vendor fee $388 (approximate). 

 

I don't have a complete list, however; I think ndivdul asked and I belive the coordinator forgot to attach.  However; Zuniga/Deco Cancun is an approved vendor for decor (and the team that actually arranges the sapphire etc.. wedding packages).  I also know that Del Sol/La Luna has a good report with them and otherwise will access a day pass versus the vendor fee.

 

Del Sol prices do not compare to the resorts photog nor can you even begun to compare their pictures to those offered.  They are quite expensive, however; their pictures are worth every penny from what I have seen.  Personally, if FI and I haven't purchased our home admist wedding planning I would have hired them.  But will undoubtely plan to work with them in the not so distance future (probably for a one year boudoir shoot).

WOW! Well thank you posting this price list. The only way I could pull off hiring these guys would be to charge admission to enter my family room and look at the pictures. Michelle responded to my inquiry about what photographers they use on the resort and... didn't really answer my question. I'll try again.

Oh and ndvidul thanks for checking out the website!!!  I'm going to try and work on it some more this weekend and get some pics posted.

 

I'm really hoping that this weekend I can get the pics posted of ours. My FI will be dove hunting this weekend so I won't have him around and it's homecoming so the kids will be out doing their thing. So maybe I can find some time to do something I would like for a change. Ha!

 

One thing for you ladies to think about.......I just found out if you have a TA and anyone attending your wedding books directly through the resort through another travel site you don't get credit for those room nights. We have 2 couples that booked through the membership. I'm a little sad about that but what can you do. However I'm very thankful they will be making the trip.
