Moon Palace 2012 Brides

The Grand definitely had the best balconies. They have a table, chairs, and an adjustable bed. We were able to entertain a group of about 8 on our balcony one night.

There's also more entertainment during the day and more variety for activities. Don't forget the huge kids play area at Sunrise. We only walked through Nizuc section a couple of times and noticed it is definitely more low key. Plus, we enjoyed our balcony hammock almost every night, and they are only guaranteed in Sunrise section.

You may want to double check on that. It is my understanding that you pay the $300 either way. If you do the legal ceremony it goes toward the legal fees; if you do symbolic it goes to the minister.

We didn't have to pay $300 for our symbolic ceremony (but that's not to say MP hasn't changed their policy since we got married July 2010).

BrideKSmith,

Nope there's no fee well, let me say that I was not assessed a fee in my contract.

Okay ladies, I'm wanting to do a photo scavenger hunt. FI and I are huge photo geeks, and we want to give our guests a challenge and we want to share in the memories.  For those of you who have been to the MP before, do you know of any awesome spots that I should include?

We plan to do the same thing! We are hoping to help guests discover some of the cool amenities at MP and get some cool photos as well. We will require that someone in the group is in their photos, and in case of a tie, the most creative photos win!

Here's what I've come up with so far from photo galleries people have posted:

Swing Bar

Arcade

Activities Board

Brazillian Restaurant

Bambu Restaurant

Rock Climbing Tower

An iguana

Caribeno Restaurant

An infiniti pool

Moon Grand Jungle Pool

A rooftop terrace

Water Sports & Activities Center

A cruise ship

Mini Golf Course

Hobie Cat

Beauty Salon

A coati

Giant Chess board

Great thanks!  I had some of those, and I agree I want someone in the picture too.

I was also thinking of adding some wedding stuff to it.

If I do a Horse Drawn Carriage, A picture of me in the HDC etc...

We are also going to have a Mini Golf Tournament after we get married because that was our first date, so a picture of the bride putting or the groom teeing off etc

Getting a pedicure

Frolicking in the Ocean

A picture of any other Palace resort

There's no 300 fee to do a symbolic ceremony.

HI Victoria, if you want a symbolic ceremony let me know so I can cancel the judge and request a minister.

We do not charge the 300 civil fee because symbolic is not a legal wedding.

Yes you still have to arrive 3 business days, no blood work require J

Civil is a legally binding ceremony and symbolic is not legally binding and not documents require.

Kind Regards,

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
