Ladies,

I have received an email from my MP wedding coordinator who said "that you can use an outside DJ, however; the cost is approximately $385 + the cost of a day pass."  I'm not to sure what we will do about this because now they just made the cost for DJ Mannia around the same cost of their DJ due to the fees...thatswck.gif  we very well may use him to ensure a good time had by all.  So now that I have a response from them in writing we are a little more at ease with getting what we want.  Why they gotta make stuff so hard.

Ok so I have question for whoever can help me! In the contract it says...

""-Online bookings or rooms booked through various operators do not qualify. And What I am referring to is the list of all the complimentary things such as comp nights and private events. Does anyone know if you book through a travel agent is it still possible to receive these extra perks?!?

I booked through a travel agent and it was fine... I think most people do! I think this refers to anyone booking outside of your group booking ie sell off sites and last minute deals!!

Well I would confirm with your coordinator that you are eligible for the $1500 resort credit as well as the room night perks! Thats a big $$ savings so you don't want to get screwed out of that!! I'm pretty sure the $1500 rsort credit has now been confirmed for 2012 so that one should be no problem but as for the room nights you want that benefit. I'm a year out and I already have enough people booked that my room is free for the week and i get unlimited private functions. Thats the best part about picking a palace resort. Congrats on your date by the way... such a relief to set the date :) Any other questions ask away!! This website saved me (and is still saving me!!!)

Thanks! Having the date set is a huge relief! The resorts credits were def. the deciding factor between resorts! Do you already have a wedding coordinator? I have read in previous posts some people have one already and others who didnt hear anything until 90 days before. I feel like I have a million questions for the WC and other brides to be! One thing I was wondering and I remember reading it on past posts, was about our guests who will RSVP. We will send out STD shortly and I'm not sure when they need to RSVP by, such as 5 mo. before or 3 mo.? Any suggestions?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
