Moon Palace 2012 Brides

Recommended Posts

I was doing a cleanse up until about a week ago, but don't plan on starting back on a regimented diet until about mid April also (we go on vacay first week). Simple is best! Especially if you are doing them outside...its a nice contrast. There are times I wanted to get braces again even though I had them already and still have straight teeth...I just loved how my teeth were RIGHT after I got them off back in high school.

I actually have been looking into Sarah from Sproullie designs for my boarding pass invites too! I was planning on DIY, but I couldn't figure out how to get them to look like they should! Plus the idea of one less thing to stress about sounds nice. Did you have yours completely customized? Did she do all the wording too? That is one thing about them...I have NO IDEA what to put on them (or how many tickets to put in each one). Do you mind me asking how much it ended up costing you? They are awesome by the way!

I totally didn't start my weight loss regimen yet and won't plan on doing so until Mid April.  I tend to loose pretty quick, so I'm pushing it off until 2 months before I go and say yes to the dress.  We are going to keep it simply with the outfits... and incorporate our wedding colors..he will wear a blue polo and jeans and I will wear a pink one with jeans.  I may find a pink, casual but sexy dress to change into for a few pics and depending on the weather he may add a blazer or a dress shirt.  But that's that..

Thanks for the pump on the teeth... everyone thinks i'm crazy and says "you have good teeth already what are you doing" but hey I'm getting married so hey why not ;-)

krsmith,

Sarah is absolutely amazing to work with! One word of advise is to book her now and tell her when you want her to start.  It's only $40 or $50 dollars to lock in your date so I would do that.  Once you book her, she will send you a questionaire which is very extensive.  It is as simple as asking your name, wedding date etc...an extensive as what your vision is, colors, themes etc.  I also sent a few pictures and our color palette as example of things that we liked.  Sarah nailed our vision on the first try but not just that, she sent 3 different concepts that she came up with.  Out of the 3 we loved 2 and had a hard time choosing.  Even our bridal party was mixed (this is how much fun we had).  In either case, after all was said and done she is very reasonable for what we wanted.

I don't want to scare anyone about pricing so I will pm you.  Just now that we are not DIY people at all.  I mean there are very few things that I will do, however; being a VP of 5 health centers, having a very active 10 year old, and with FI being a bus driver, our schedules aren't friendly for DIY stuff..  ;-)

All in all we purchased:

150 Boarding Passes with our return address on the envelopes, and all envelopes were addressed to each of our guest (I sent her names and addresses in a word document)

Our envelopes are shimmer as well as the STDs it helps to bring out our colors and is a little thicker.  The holder is a new paper out which feels so silky and smooth which cost a little more.

We are sending these out on the on the 13th of April, as we will have everything settled with our TA and would have added our engagement photos on our website.  Speaking of which, if you ladies wouldn't mind going to my website (information on the STD) and tell me what you think.  I would appreciate it.  It's not finished but almost.

Wow your STD's look amazing. Sarah does such great work.

I quickly checked your website. It looks really good. Just so you know, MP has a purified tap water. The recommended tip amounts are usually $1- $2 a day for wait staff and a few dollars per day for housekeeping. And you have might want to run a spell check.

Coconoir- what a good idea! I should have you guys check out my site and tell me what you think! I feel like it is a little complicated, but there is just SO much info! Because I am totally uncreative when it comes to these sorts of things, I have borrowed A LOT of things from other BDW brides.

Hey there Kelly,

Your site is awesome.  I do have one comment though.  Where you talk about the US dollar, I would state something simple like make sure to carry small bills, as it will be easier for you or something along those lines.  Stating that someone maybe the target of pickpocketing may lead them to think that Mexico isn't safe.  I know that you were worried about this in a previous post... so to me (and I could be wrong) this line doesn't help your cause.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
