Planning for me is going well:

Photog: I booked Ivan Luckie about 2 weeks ago

STDs : Sarah from Sprouille Designs sent our 1st pdf file for our save the dates and FI and I were so amazed.  So that's going really well she's doing our boarding pass STD, monogram and passport invites.  Once I get our monogram I will order towels and bags for our OOT an start a few DIY projects

Our Website is almost done

Bridesmaids: dresses are chosen and all loved them YAY, that's my gift to them so I'm waiting for a sale ;-)

FI picked the colors from Studio linens that he likes, so we are going to place an order for "a" suit soon. He's a little skeptic so this is to satisfy him.

We are working on wedding and reception set-up now (we are going from Cancun to Hawaii) so we don't want to take much but want to save.

My planning is going well!

Booked Moments that Matter for photography

Considering booking DJ Mannia for DJ.. is anyone else doing a DJ? Or just Ipod dock and whatnot?

Ordered silk flowers and already received them

Skipping the Save the Date cards and just doing invitations (boarding pass) going to order them on Thursday to send out within the month.

Ordered my Bridesmaid dresses (Victoria Secret $50.00) and got them back, all the girls love them.

Ordered my linens (chair covers, sashes, table cloths and napkins)

Ordered my center pieces.

Pretty much have everything under control!! woot.gif

I am going to do real touch as well, where did you get yours from?

Everyone really seems very in control of everything! I just got my contract and im about to fax it tonight soooooo excited! I kinda feel like i started planning way ahead and have alot done i got my free save the date postcards from vista print and loooove them i chose them  before i even realized they wher free. I dont want to get alot done and then sit around with nothing to do for a year. Does anyone else feel that way? I have also been talking to katie with deco cancun she is great and responds with pics right away and me and my FI decided to go with the comp package and just add stuff. Also we are getting our centerpieces just like the ones for the amber package from deco cancun we are using them in the chapel and then moving them to the recption for center pieces that is saving us so much money too. when is everyone planning on looking for there gown i really wanna start but like i said i feel im rushing things lol.

Yes I agree - I worry about the IPOD not being enough... Although, I don't know if I have the extra $1,000.00 in my budget.

I got mine from a Silk Flower Shop where I live. I had been looking on line but I think it's too risky to order them online, as I have heard a lot of bad reviews.

I am pretty sure any flower shop where you live would carry them?

Zuniga aka Deco Cancun is one of the preferred vendors (according to other brides on this site), they are the ones to supply/set-up the wedding packages that MP sale.  I just sent them an email for a quote. It appears that they do not have a booklet for pricing. What I did was sent inspiration pictures of the lounge area, and centerpiece set up that I would like.  I have heard that they can range in price but I have to keep in mind that FI and I are packing for two trips Cancun and Hawaii so we have no desire to bring the centerpieces ourselves.  I'll post the info once I get a response

Okay thanks that's a good idea (depending on how much it costs) becuase I think I cancel my linens order becuase I would much rather not have to pack them either. I don't know if I want to do a lounge area, I mean I would love to, but I am sure that is pretty expensive? Although, it would be fun.... tough call.

Yeah lilstar714

I just emailed david from deco cancun but if he doesn't respond then I'll move to Katie ;-)  I'm bringing our items for the wedding set-up and deco will handle the reception aspect of things.  I'm hella busy so doing as much as possible now will save me from killing somebody later ;-)  Plus my bridesmaids are all over the globe so I need to have things in order to make their visit productive.  I'm going to start trying on dresses late summer at the latest.  But I already have sample pictures along with the bridal shops that carries the designers that I like.

I hear you regarding the DJ.. the ipod but this is our flex pricing.  So we have wiggle room on this one.  So if the prices of everything else caps out we will do the ipod lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
