Did anyone get their hair done at the Gran Caribe spa? I am a little nervous to get my hair done there. Also, those were gorgeous pics! Was that the resort's photographers? Has anyone used the resort's photographers?

I have spoken to 2 different ones already and they seem to be given alot of different option on pricing, but wheni checked it out on expedia, the package price was lower there that what I have been told. Any thoughts??

I booked a my guest a Wesjet Vacation through their groups department, and the price was really great. The catch was that u had to have the exact number of guest when requesting a group quote. So I would probably get a head count first and then talk to them to inquire a group quote. You should see at least $100 or $200 dollars off the online rates.

Hello ladies Im wanting to book my wedding at the real catholic chapel. But I hear its not legal I hear you can combine it with a civil legal wedding as well. Anyone do that? I really want to have my wedding there, anyone have tips or have been there done that kinda thing?

In June my fiance and I went to the Gran Caribe/The Royal for a site visit and we are so happy with everything!  The chapel is absolutely gorgeous!  We did a food tasting and were also impressed.  We did see some of the work of their photographers while we were there which we weren't all that impressed with.

I inquired about adding a civil ceremony to the catholic cermony and was told that we could do it, and that it would be additinal 30 mins to the 1 hr catholic ceremony.  We feel like that's too long to ask our guests to sit in the heat.  We plan on legally getting married before we go to Mexico.

We are also not adding the legal ceremony and just getting married in the states beforehand.

Emily - what food choices did you taste?  Very interested in knowing what you're choosing for your menu!

We tried the vegetable salad With mint cream, Three lettuces salad, and Tomato salad with grilled zucchini. For the main course we tried Linguine with dried Tomato Sauce, Shrimp with jumbalaya rice, and beef tornedo. And for dessert we tried The Paris chocolate shell and seasonal fresh fruit. We chose the vegetable salad with mint cream, a choice of the shrimp or beef, and the Paris chocolate shell which was really good! I was impressed with all the food. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Hey Ladies,

We are putting together our webinar schedule for BDW.  These webinars are great because not only can you get YOUR questions answered but also hear answers to questions from other brides that you may not have even though of :)

Webinars are a great way to not only hear directly from the wedding department but see the wedding packages that they offer, ceremony/reception pics, etc.

I try to only limit the webinars to once every 2 weeks so we of course can not do all resorts.

Please vote on which resorts you would like to have webinars on...you can choose more than 1.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
