PLEASE HELP!!! MAJOR DRESS WOBBLES. have my dress already and thinking about changing it... but the new dress will cost me over $1000 more!! what to do..........

Honestly i prefer the dress you already have.Dont get me wrong the second dress is very pretty BUT i cant see where the $1000 difference is.Ok its not preowned but it means your paying a lot more money for something you will realisticaly be wearing 7/8 hours

You look stunning in the first one and when the wedding is over and your suffering the post wedding blues you could use the $1000 for a short break or a huge down payment for a return trip to your wedding island.I think you have a fab figure and would look fab in any dress we all have the dress wobbles but you are very lucky you made a first class choice with the first dress xxx Happy decision making xxxx

I have to agree... you look so much happier in this dress!  I ended up going way over budget to get my dream dress and am planning on selling it afterward.  I have no regrets!  Plus, you could always wear the dress at your AHR too so you get more use out of it.  Also, you may want to consider having the second dress made in China.  I'm getting my TTD made in China for $150!  Granted, it's unlikely that it would be EXACTLY the same, but it should be close.

awwww..look how your face just lights up, goodness girlie.............

I think the main diff. is the look on your face.

Can you sell the other???  I think you sealed your fate NOW....

One important thing to remember is... the dress does not make you, you make the dress. You can look at a dress on a hanger and it will look hideous. But then, you try it on and it looks absolutely stunning. Don't get caught up with how a dress looks. Follow your heart and go with the one that wows you. If the second one wows you, then go with it. At the end of the day.... You're only wearing it for a few hours. FYI: You look GREAT in both dresses. Either would be a great choice :)

thank you all so much!!  i am really pleased with all your comments and advise!!  but still have not decided for sure!!

i send a mail to the alterations lady.  maybe it was cheeky but no time to be nice lol  i explained to her what i was thinking and asked if she could add some tulle to the bottom of the allure to make it more like the mikaella.  she has not replied yet so what she responds will help!  i also mailed the original bride.  i did not tell her i was having second thoughts.... i just asked her to send me a few more pics cos trying to decide on having a veil / how to wear my hair etc.  i hope they come back to me soon!

also - spoke to the shop with the mikaella and they advised alterations would be at least another $100.

i am looking at the pics saying to myself they are not that different!  and imagining what i could do with that money.. but cant stop thinking of the mikaella!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
