Thanks for your help everyone.  I was able to get in touch with Lucy and she helped come up with solutions.

My sister was married at Vallarta Palace and it was amazing.  She told me not to worry too much about Mercedes because the wedding planner at the hotel is fantastic, once you get there!  She said to get my dates and times reserved and leave the rest up to the hotel wedding planner, so that is what I'll do!

Hi Ladies!

Congratulations! I recently got engaged this past summer and plan on having a DW, November 2012. I am looking into PP and another resort in Mayan, but so far PP is at the top. I plan on having about 100-120 people come to the wedding. I know it's a lot and was wondering if anyone knew if the hotel accommodated such a big party? Any feedback would be great and I would love to see pics!

Thanks!

Far :)

Welcome Far18!!!

Questions for any already-married PP brides....how long did it take you to do your "walk up the aisle."  I am starting to decide on music and am figuring that out.  We are getting married on the South Beach, thanks to Tanya's beautiful pics!!

Our ceremony is at 4 in January so I am hoping that there won't be too many random sunbathers since sunset is at 5:15 - 5:20.  We are doing a "first look" session with our photographer at 2:30 or 3.  I was originally dead-set against it, but after talking to my photographer and reading some articles about it, my FI and I decided we are now in love with the idea, AND it means we don't need to try to change the timing of the ceremony as another PP bride told me she felt rushed to do pics with the early sunset.

Hi and Welcome :) Yes, they can accomodate that many for a beach ceremony. For a reception, they can accomodate that many for a beach reception, in the North Solarium and in the Ballroom.

I am finding it super difficult to communicate with them via email. The first time they sent an email right away with all the attachments with regards to pricing and what not. I replied and asked how much more it would cost to have "open bar" extended past the 2 hours they indicated and haven't heard back! It's been almost 3 weeks now! I am getting scared that my plans for a destination wedding wont happen at this point. :(

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
