It is a good way to use the credit though, if they let you.  We upgraded our room, golfed, went on excursions, and still had vacation dollars left...so I put it toward that.

Hey ladies, I'm attaching some of the files my wedding planner sent me. Not sure if you're received them yet from your planners, but it'll give you a good idea of what the resort offers. I wish I'd been able to see these much sooner, so here you go! I'm leaving one week from today so hopefully everything's all set!!

I can't view the attachments either :(  Also, does anyone know the phone number or email address to both the spa and Palace Vacation Planners? I want to put it on the pre-travel brochures, so they can contact them to make their reservations before they leave for Mexico.

Thanks in Advance!

But did the video person get in the way of the photographer? I've read some things about the photog missing good shots because the video person was in the way. Also, did the resort upgrade you for having 75 or more nights and then use your resort credit to upgrade again? Basically, are you allowed to upgrade more than once = D? b/c that would be niiice!

I was told by the onsite coordinator that vacation dollars CAN be used for videographer.

I'm also having some trouble getting a clear answer from the WC Lauren.  I have been asking her for months (literally) if videography could be paid for with the resort dollars and for months she never got back to me.  Finally, after posting on the Palace Facebook page, she gets back to me and tells me it is not covered.  Problem is, there are brides on here who are getting married at other Palace resorts and are being told that the videography is included for all weddings booked before March 1 - which mine is.  I told this to Lauren and her response was pretty much to ask my on-site coordinator which I won't be getting to 1-3 months before the wedding.  That's just totally not ok!!!

Most of the things can't be booked until you are at the resort, unless that has changed.

No they didn't get in eachothers way it was fine.  Just give your photogs a list of must have pics.  We were there more than the 7 nights so we got upgraded 7 nights bc of booked rooms, then used our vacation dollars for the other nights, bc originally we were going to have to move from the regualr room to the suite!

The website said originally that it was included for the beach but when I mentioned it they said it was not and then proceeded to change the wording on the website. I printed the original wording in case they changed it and it said "Ceremony Locations: Beach area, Terrace (can accomodate up to 40 guests) or solarium area. If solarium area is chosen, a CD player is not provided, extra fee will apply." It now reads " If solarium or beach area is chosen....". They told me they were changing the site in the email and I had just missunderstood the previous wording. It seems pretty clear to me but I am starting to realize that it is pretty much whatever they decide at the moment to charge or not charge for. On another hand, Lorena has been absolutely fabulous trying to schedule everything and my planner did get to me over 2 months prior to the wedding. If you thought the CD player was included, I recommend you challenge it on the previous wording. Maybe if they get enough fallout from it they will honor the prior advertisement.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
