2011 & 2012 PLAYACAR PALACE BRIDES!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

Andi,

I just wanted to say have a wonderful anny/vacay at PP. I will be getting married there on 11/11/11 and am still a little apprehensive about a few things. Photos would be awesome if u can. Esp. of the beach and how close the ferry and senor frogs is to the hotel. My fiance is worried I will be disappointed that the beach may not be what I am hoping for. I have been told by other girls on here that the beach is beautiful so I am trusting there advice. When purchasing airfare did u find it cheaper to fly into cozumel?? Have a wonderful trip!! Enjoy!!

I used Teresa too!  She matched the prices on Expedia, was able to release rooms, and handled everything for my guests!  She was a HUGH assest to our wedding!  I would highly recommed her, she will even watch the prices for you so one less thing you have to do.

Thank you SOO much Perry and Tanya for recommending Teresa!!  She has been so much easier to work with and SO thorough. I feel like I know more than I did working with the other TA - and I've only worked with her for 2 days!! I wasn't really presented with as much options with our old TA. I have no complaints so far with Teresa either :) and glad to announce that we are now officially working with her.  She has submitted our contract to PP, after she gets it back from them in a few days, we will be signing a contract (FINALLY!), sending her the money and we will be ready to roll! I'm so excited!

Thanks again you two!!!!!

Also, I forgot to ask you ladies. How did you inform your guests about the DW travel and accomodations?

Because we really thought we were going to use our last TA, we put "Travel and Accomodation package to follow" on our invites. Now I need to figure out how I should send them? I was thinking of sending them the info on normal printer paper (but with our Monogram to make it look official :) ) and the first page would be kind of an update (for those of our guests that may not check the website - our older guests) and for info that we didn't include on the invite to add a more personal touch.  Then, the second page I was planning to use as the page with the contact information, pictures and rates, etc. What do you think? What did you guys do?

I did pocket invitations and one of the cards was "Accomodations" with Teresa's info on it, then put the the pricing details on my website.I   Vistaprint always has free stuff you could do a postcard style card once you have all the info ironed out.

Thanks for your website info!  After I get the confirmation on the details, I will definitely be using some of the stuff on my website too :)

Yeah, she's been great! I'm SOOO glad I made the change before signing a room contract with him. Teresa said that the resort has already confirmed the room block for our group woot.gif Now she's waiting on the agreement to arrive, so we can sign, pay and begin booking!!! :) Yay!!

And I love your postcard btw, very cute!  I think we're gonna end up just sending out the travel information attached to the letter we're sending our guests as an update.  Just going to make it look pretty with border and monogram, etc. I was really thinking about doing brochures for it, but even with the 25 free brochures with Vistaprint, its still alot more than I wanted to spend especially after postage.

Hey all!

Just wondering if any of you did (or are planning to do) a slide show at the playacar palace?  I know the playacar doesn't have any of this equipment, so who did you go through to pull it together?  I was planning on bring a projector with me, and we're doing our reception in the south solarium so I was hoping I could just project the images onto exterior wall of the building?  (Anyone who has been there, can you tell me if that would even work?)

I'm curious to see how others solved this problem....please let me know!!

Thanks!

Tara

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
