Recommended Posts

Perhaps some one can offer some help......my wedding is January 20th and we leave January 16th for Turks. My real touch florist just sent me photos of the final products tonight and quite honestly im so disappointed and about to cry......i had numerous conversations with her about specifics right down to sending her pictures of bouquets that I wants and the particular colours of flowers.

They are a mess, nothing what I had expected.....

PLEASE HELP......I have a month and the rate im going im not gonna have any flowers!!!!

The first thing you need to do is communicate how dissapointed you are.  There is still time to fix the problem.

Did you send pictures of what you had envisioned?

If not, I would do so immediately.

I work in hospitality and have found that most vendors are eager to fix issues and create a happy customer.  It's what they build their reputation on.  Let them know your dissatisfaction and make sure that you are clear and concise about what needs to be fixed.  I find that visuals usually help alot!

Try not to stress too much yet!  It will all work out!

Are you able to go see her.  the florist I am using is about 1.5 hours away from where I live. FI made a day of it and went and visited with the florist to see what the flowers were like and to see some of her work.?

I do agree with schmizer contact her and explain what you were looking for I am sure she would be more than willing to accomodate you.

Girls thank you all for your posts......

I will post pictures as soon as I have the bouquets in hand.

The vendor I chose was on ETSY.com. She live in the states and I am in Ontario. It would probably take about 7 hours to drive. I was pretty particular with details, including colours of bridesmaids dresses, what the groom and groomsmen are wearing down to including pictures of bouquets that I had found and the particular flowers that I had used. I couldn't have been any more particular aside from the fact of DIY. I pretty much laid everything out for this designer and communicated non-stop even when she sent me final product photos. I expained to her what I liked and didn't like about the bouquets, boutineres, and corsages. I looked at the pics she sent and the ones that I sent her and they look nothing alike. I even fwd her pictures of my ring bears shirts so she could see colours for ribbon purposes. I asked for bright fuschia orchids and callas and the final bouquets have maroon purple looking flowers..... We ended up conversing on the phone and I expressed my disastisfaction and she was wanting to order new flowers,.....well their are only 25 days until my wedding and we still need shipping leeway for her to order new flowers and then complete the flowers and then ship them to Michigan where I will make a trip to my aunts to pick them up......all  in there. In the end she said that there was nothing else that she could do to make me happy and unfortunately she just couldn't envision what I wanted and she was mailing the final product with some extra floral tools: ie: tape and wire in case I want to change anything myself.

There is nothing about this designer that was customer service oriented in the end....I was disatisfied with final product and i'm not getting exactly what I want despite having paid $275 plus $15 shipping.

I even conversed with other real- touch florist to see if there was anything any one could do to help being such last minute everyone is completely booked

I'm not sure if it's an option but have you looked into the ready-to-go options on wedideas.com?  I ordered my flowers through them and they were great to work with.  They have a lot of options that are already made or the supplies are readily available so they can ship quickly.  You may not get EXACTLY what you want but maybe it'd be closer than what you ordered via etsy.

Good luck.

I would look to another vendor and demand your money back.  I would eat the shipping costs but demand the rest.

You shouldn't have to pay for something that isn't what you envisioned, ESPECIALLY since you were so thorough.  I purchase through etsy alot and did have an issue with an item that wasn't what was advertised.  She ended up refunding me.

I can't possibly expect someone to do exactly what I "envisioned" no matter how detailed I am. Now, if I show them a picture of EXACTLY what I want, ask them to do just that and they still don't deliver, they should not be in the business. One of the reasons why I don't like to shop online for clothes and stuff like that. I just don't know how it is going to fit, whether the color will be accurate, etc. That's just me.

Sorry, that was not help. That was only my opinion. Perhaps I should pay a little more attention when reading!!! smile105.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
