Sandals Brides-----Roll call

Hey Nancy,

Which consultant did you have?   That sounds a little strange.  Like CBrewster we were also told we didn't have to pay until 45 days before the wedding.  I would certainly question the requirement to pay now.

I would definitely pre book your reception just in case for whatever reason they cant arrange location / food for that day but there is no way you should be paying now.

Let me know how you get on.

Nancy

Welcome Cbrewster,

Not long until your big day.  I'm soooo jealous.  I cant wait to get there.  Like you we had to pay 45 days prior to the wedding date.

Nancy that dress is beautiful.  I think the dress is the hardest thing to pick out. I have changed my mind so many times but finally a few weeks ago found the one and it actually made me cry when I put it on.  I knew instantly that was the one.  Nothing like waiting til the last minute.  I will pick it up next week and post a picture.  Trying to decide now how to wear my hair and whether or not to use a veil.  We are having our wedding at Sandals Antigua.  We leave July 20 and wedding is July 23rd.  Not too much longer :)  We are also doing the BB package with the sand ceremony and everyone has told us we can wait to make the decisions so you still have plenty of time.

Hi everyone!

We are getting married at the Grande St Lucian April14,2012.  We are doing the twilight ceremony with the 2 hour reception, BB theme with individual upgrades and the steel drum band. Also, I plan on surprising him with the helicopter ride from the airport to the resort. Has anyone done that/planning to do that? I am also looking for fun welcome bag ideas??? Good luck everyone and hope we can all be a good resource for one another!!

Hi

Welcome & congratulations.  Your ceremony sounds fantastic, as does your suprise helicopter ride.

We get married at Sandals Grande Antigua in 17 days, also with the BB theme.  We only have 4 guests coming with us.  We were going to go with the steel band but thought it may be a bit loud with only 6 of us.

How far have you got with your planning?   You'll find so much invaluable information on this site.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
