Hi everyone!  I'm reporting in live from Jamaica!  Everything went great yesterday.  We had a few rain sprinkles just before the ceremony but it was mostly sunny otherwise.  The wind, however...this is the windiest weather they have ever had in Jamaica!  Of course...it didn't ruin anything for us.  We just made sure we had enough hairspray!

Full review will be coming but I'm going to enjoy my honeymoon for now!

Hello!

I'm also a Sandals bride, Montego Bay July 16, 2011. Can't wait! I am also doing the BB. I'm adding a few add on to personalize it a little.I plan to use the DJ, the sand ceremony , hair and makeup, videographer, one of the photography packages but I haven't picked one yet, and the 1 hour cocktail reception. We plan to go to dinner at one of the restaurants on site. We invited 80 guests. We only expect half  of them to attend so we will see.  A few have booked already.I won't really know how many guests I will be having until I send out invitataions and get RSVP's back. Once I have a final count I can start finalizing thing s more and working on my OOT bags. I have some DIY ideas in mind that don't take much time to do. I am doing to the OOT bags.I would like to have them delivered to guest room as they arrive and I was told it was $3 per room. I agree with some of the other girls, when talking with the WC , they don't offer information and when you ask questions you have to ask the right way to get the answer you are looking for. I'm curious to know how many of the add ons have to be paid for in advance and that sort of thing verses what could be paid for at the resort. For instance the OOT bags, if I wait till I get to the resort will there really be a charge of  $3 to deliver them. I want to bring my own aisle runner and rose petals. I was told to do this there is a the $250 setup fee .I'm thinking I may need a TA after all.

Hello!

I'm also a Sandals bride. Negril, Jamaica -  June 15, 2011. I chose the Beautiful Beginnings theme. I really haven't made any other decisions yet. I'm worried about their photography. The samples I have seen really aren't that great.

Hi Everyone,

My name is Tisha and I am getting married at Sandals Negril on July 23rd of 2011. I have been desperately looking for good reviews with pictures. I am expecting at least 30 ppl. I would love some feedback on the weddings at this resort. I am also doing the Chic and Natural Theme.

Amy you are so right about the photography! My best friends husband got a nice camera for Christmas and he wants to take picts at the wedding . I think I'm going with that . I figure family and friends will pick up what the photographer may miss. I do want some professional pic as well . I'm just going to wait till I get there to decide on that, I will be getting the minimum at least. I feel like if I book photography before hand I am stuck with some pics I may not even like. Most of our family and friends that are coming will be taking pics anyway so I will have plenty. I have set up a photo share site so when our guests get back they can share pics that they have taken.  My problem is we had our engagement pics professionally done and they are goregeous! However, we can't afford to pay for her  for her to go. So I now know what quality photography looks like. I'm just afraid my engagement pics will look better than my wedding pics.I had a postcard made at vistprint.com that basically says thank you and we would love to see your pics please share them with us at the photo link listed. I will be putting this in the OOT bags.We will see how it goes though.:)

I am hiring my own photographer and paying her stay for 3 nights. I am also doing the beautiful beginnings package and adding ton of my own personalization to it. So far it looks like I will have around 30 guest. I plan on doing the sand cermony, one hour cocktail, 2 hour dinner, and dj for 2 hours. And yes the setup fee is 250 thats why I plan on adding my vision to the theme. And working with a TA is the greatest she is able to help answer so many questions. July 22,2011 Sandals Negril.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
