i was talking to a former actress at my work. she has an armband that she had to cover up for a play, and she had a whole process. Red makeup to cover the black tattoo, green makeup to neutralize the red, and then foundation and powder multiple times. Turned out completely invisible under stage lights and in pictures!! I have hope!

When she sends me the brand name info, I'll post it up!

Check out Ferbs Cosmetics Tattoo Undercover which offers a long-lasting, waterproof tattoo cover up in 5 different skin tones.  The make up is much thicker than an average concealer which makes it faster to dry and takes less applications.  You can watch a demo video of the tattoo cover up process on the website and here is a few links from that offer help and advice on covering a tattoo:

I have several tattoos, not to mention my fiance who is covered.  I have a large one on my shoulder that goes onto my arm and back.  My aunt is buying my wedding gown, and at her request I will be covering it.  I love my tattoo, it is bright and colorful, and even matches with our destination cheesy.gif However, I will respect the request of my aunt on this one.  I plan to have a professional make-up artist airbrush it for me.  I saw them do this on a wedding show once for a bride that was heavily tattooed, and you couldn't see them.  Good luck!

Kat Von D has a tattoo concealer make up at Sephora....search online for it. I mean, she is COVERED in tattoos, so if she is promoting it, then I'm sure it would work. It is also specifically for tattoos.

I have a tattoo on my back and I will not be covering it. It's just not that bigga deal to me! It's just a small tattoo, so it is not something that will be distracting.

Not a bride, but do have experience... in college I got my first (and largest) tattoo which is about the size of a letter sized piece of paper on my back.  A few months later, I began competing in the Miss America local pageants and needed to maintain a "wholesome image" (*snicker* :) ).  I used Dermablend which is sold in most large department stores and is suggested for those with major discoloration, birthmarks, burns, etc.  I had to mix two shades of it together to get the right complementary tone for my skin, but it worked.  If you do opt for this, definitely elect to get the setting powder. I wore a white evening gown and a white swimsuit, and had no run off or transfer.

Hope this helps!

Funny enough, no tattoos to cover up here. However, I do plan on getting a couple tattoos. BUT, I've decided not to get them until after all the wedding stuff/photos, etc. This may sound weird to some people, but I want  timeless, dreamy feel to my photographs. I'm actually planning on getting them as soon as I'm back from my AHR in Texas lol Once I'm married and all those photos are done, unlike some brides, I actually think I'll feel more liberated than stifled.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
