Flowers in Playa Del Carmen?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I'm getting married at The Royal Playa Del Carmen on July 23, 2011 and I was wondering if there were any places to buy flowers outside of the resort.  I don't want to spend $118 on a bouquet of tulips for each of my 3 bridesmaids so I'm looking for other (more cost effective) options.

Can anyone help me?????

If you are looking for a flower shop there are a couple in the town, but I don't think you'll be able to find tulips there.  You'll find orchids, calla lilies, lilies, roses...tropical flowers.

In my experience as a wedding planner in the area $118 for a bouquet of tulips is maybe slightly on the high end, but within range actually.  Two years ago I had a bride request different flowers for each of the 6 bouquet she required, and one being tulips.  The price was $110.  Just to give you some reference....

Also, I'm not sure what florist/decorator the Royal uses, so hopefully you can see some examples beforehand.

If you do end up finding an outside vendor, just be cautious of the rules at the Royal.

Hope you can find something that will be perfect :)

Congratulations & Enjoy it!! :)

I'm looking into Euforia today - I've gotten quotes from others and my last stop was Euforia.  How were there prices?  Did you rent anything from them?  Lounge furniture? Dance floor? Lighting?  etc....I'm looking for quote a few things and I want to get it all at the same place.

Thanks!

I've been getting prices back for a place in town called Flores Riviera Maya. They only charge $35 per bridesmaid bouquet and $75 for the bride. Has anyone used them before or know anything about them? Their website is www.floresrivieramaya.com. They sent me a ton of pictures, most of them are lillies and stuff, but that's what I want. I think I'm just going to order all of them as bridesmaids bouquets so I can get the cheaper price. They also said they'll deliver to outside our resort (they can't actually come onto the property or else they'll be an "outside vendor").

Hey kurlyks,

that sounds too cheap to me! Remember you get what you pay for..... I got a quote from marvin@mayadisenofloral.com.mx for this.

$130.00 for a bridal bouquet and $55.00 for a bridesmaids size, corsages for mothers cost $20.00 and boutonnieres $15.00

Let me know who else you get quote from, email me and i can forward anything i get on to you.

I thought about that too, but it seems like too good a deal to pass up. I don't see the point in spending hundreds of dollars for bouquets that are used for a quick ceremony, pictures, and then put down for the rest of the night. I'm guessing my bridesmaids are not going to be carrying them around all night. They don't have to be perfect to me, just simple and pretty will work. Obviously I'll be in trouble if they end up being awful, but I'm gonna go check them out a few days ahead of time just in case.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
