Palace Resorts Preferred DJ

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up - if you're having or thinking of having a Palace Resorts wedding, their preferred DJ is VERY expensive.  Much more than the other DJ's who brides on this site rave about.  I'm using DJ Mannia for $900 for 4 hours and their DJ, J&S Audio Visual is $1500 for the same thing.
Just beware that you should try to get permission to use outside vendors at the very beginning of your booking process.

Your WC is lying to you.  You don't HAVE to use any of their preferred vendors.  If they can get you to use them, they make more money, because they get a kick back.  I had it specifically written into my contract that I could use whoever I wanted.

Well it was written in my contract that they are no outside vendors allowed.  So, apparently things can differ between the palace resorts.

Nope, it's the same for all the Palace Resorts.  Tt was written in my contact that there are no outside vendors allowed too.  You have to request that you contracts states you can use whoever you want.  That's how they take advantage of brides unfortunately.  I personally think Palace Resorts does a TERRIBLE job with their weddings. I've been working with them for 9 months and I don't know how they stay in business.
A few other brides on here gave the huge heads up to get outside vendor clause in the contract or you end up spending a lot more money.  You can obviously use theirs, just trying to help brides who don't want to get ripped off.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
