How much are Taxi's in Cabo?

Recommended Posts

I am wondering if they have a flat rate each time you get in or if it's like most, flat starting and then metered?

I am mostly curious to know how much approx from dreams to Fiesta Americana?

I am looking into transporting our guests for the wedding and I have some pricing on vans and buses but I was thinking everyone should be coming from dreams to FA but what if some of my friends or his mom want to come over prior to help me get ready and blah, blah...I thought if we paid for cabs it would let them be able to choose their own time to come over??

Well the taxi's in Cabo don't have meters, it's usually a flat rate from point A to point B.. For example from Villa Del Palmar to downtown it was $16.00 each way (regardless how many people you had in the van) I can't tell you how much it would cost from Dreams to FA, maybe somewhere between $15.00 - $25.00 each way. You might want to set up transportation ahead of time with a company, it will probably save you more money.

Michelle, when we take a cab, it's generally $20 to Cabo + $5 tip. We always plan on having $50 in cash for the rides...

And here's a tip, we take down $2 bills instead of $1 bills, which cuts the stack in half and they love the $2 bills down there! Just a little tip!

Hi Brad and Michelle,

I actually got married on July 7th of this year and we provided transportation from Cabo to San Jose. The van for 14 people round-trip was about $280. We did some of the guest come early so the private surbaban was $195 round-trip. I think if you give everyone the option of taking a cab when they want to and running out each time to pay would be a headache. You need as little headaches as possible. Our guest didn't have an issue with leaving the hotel at a set time. They were just glad that transportation was provided. Good Luck!

Michelle - what about two shuttles from Dreams to FA the day of the wedding(one for the people that want to come early, and one for those that want to come just in time for the wedding.) Everyone else can take cabs and pay for it themselves.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
