Hi Miss Sunshyne! Can you tell me the name of the salon where you are getting your hair done at is called? I am getting married in January and am looking for options other than the resort for my hair. Thanks!

In regards to my makeup, I'm getting a professional artist from the capital to come and do everyone's makeup, she charges $80 for brides, $50 for bridesmaids plus transportation. Makeup means alot to me, it always reflects in pictures, I think I would be stressed doing it myself.... I need to relax in the moments leading up to the ceremony.

The hair salon is called Sandra's... I have the business card at home. I will give you all the info tonight. They're very friendly, they only speak spanish though but I'm sure with pictures that you bring or you can look at their portfolio and all should be fine, they even pick you up and drop you off. The salon is average size with 4 hair dressers, pretty nice considering... (not a whole in the wall) she charges $25 for hairstyles which is great!

I can tell you that I didn't love my hair (had to tweak it - I asked for a side, low messy chignon and I got 80's prom spiral curals) and I HATED HATED HATED my makeup that the spa / salon did for me. BUT I was prepared. I went to MAC and took a picture of what I liked with me and had one of their artists show me how, I bought all the products. As soon as I got back to my room after my makeup was done on my wedding day, I washed my face and just did it again. It didn't take long.

I would HIGHLY recommend that you come prepared....

Hello

you can see some of her work here in this blog

My friend is a model and got a hold of another associate in DR that recommended Indira.

I have to pay for her transportation since she's in the capital, and her prices have gone up but they're still reasonable and better than other quotes I got from make up artists out there.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
