Hi Natalie,

Yes, I bought the seed beads in bulk on Ebay. Much better pricing. The seller I used isnt listed anymore... weird. But there's tons. The glue I use is E6000 or Amazing Goop - any of those in the glue aisle at Micheals that dont dry too quickly are are not runny.

Thanks so much for your posting your entire planning process.  I'm getting married at the Iberostar Rose Hall Beach May 2011 and was at a lost on what to put in my guests' care packages and what to do for decorations for the reception, I may have to borrow some of your ideas.

Any advice you could give on having a wedding at the iberostar rosehall beach would be great.

Congratulations!!!!

Breeze, your planning thread was wonderful!!!  I have been on the IRHS forum, but this was the first i really ventured out to look at planning threads.  Wow - I was really missing out!!  I'm in the process of doing my OOT bags/favors.  Can I ask where you go the clear key card holders??

I'm in canada so I used canadaphotobooks.com. But there are lots of other sites you can use. Just do search on the forum for photobooks and you will see what other brides have used as well.

Glad you liked my thread!! :D

I had a hard time finding them in Canada - I finally did here: https://www.acklandsgrainger.com/AGIPortalWeb/WebSource/ProductDisplay/globalProductDetailDisplay.do?item_code=IDM1815-1110

There are other places in the US you can get them. Just do a search on the forum for 'key card holders' and you'll find a ton.

Glad you liked my thread!! :D

Breeze,

All I have to say is: You're my HERO!!! Wow! You're amazing!!! I wish I was half as talented as you. I really want to make a guest book similar to yours. Do you have a template or anything? Is there a site I can go on to help me make something like this?

Thanks a bunch for taking the time to share all this wonderful information.

Bree what kind of pins did you use to glue to the back of these shells? I'm considering using shells or a starfish but just want an idea of what the pins look like.

Arenâ€t my chair swags sick?? The resort has white chair covers and silver chair bows, I plan to use them to pin my chair swags on.

These were actually really easy to make.  I bought the shells at http://www.qualityshells.com/ then me and my BMs put clear craft glue on the shells, making it look like it was dripping from the edge, then we dipped the shell in a bowl of multicoloured seed beads. Voila!  The beads stuck to the glue and looked great! Then just glue some pins to the back and your good to go.

The fabric is simple to do as well, check my soon-to-come blog for tutorials!

Guest Favours

I DIYâ€ed the favours as well. Since we are leaving so close to Xmas, I made sand dollar Xmas decorations.

Bridesmaids Gifts

I sewed my BMs their own silk robes with lace trim. I had my embroidery guy embroider their names on them.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
