DJ and Dance floor at Beaches T&C?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone...

Did anyone book a DJ or band for their reception at the Beaches T&C resort?

We would like to have a private dance floor and music...but we're not sure what our options are. Still waiting to hear from the wedding coordinators, but I thought I'd check to see what options people chose for their wedding day/nights.

Is this possible..can we have a private dinner and dance on the beach? Has anyone done something similar? Did anyone purchase the lighting package for their event? Just curious...

If anyone has any pictures...

:)

Hi Brandy,

I've noticed alot of your posts in the forums...for T&C. They have been very helpful. You chose a really nice pkg..the seaside one. I think we have decided to stick with the BB pkg...the island/sunset one was amazing...but 6000$ is too much for us.

I was just wondering what to expect for our WC in Miami when she calls....i'm already getting overwhelmed and have no idea what to pick for a reception/dancing for my guests...not too sure what we will do after our 11am ceremony...

sigh...

any ideas, thoughts....help!

I know exactly how you feel right now, thats how I felt when it all started!

I also wanted the island paradise theme but couldnt justify paying $6000 for it.

When Monica calls, shell pretty much walk you through everything, and go through everything you can "add on", and go through any changes you may want to make. You also dont have to book anything right away if your not ready, just let her know you will get back with her on it. We booked our theme right away with her and if you book you theme during that phone call your required to put down 50%, and shell book any other things your ready to book like hair appt., entertainment, photography etc....

I didnt book any hair appt. yet bc Im not sure what package I want yet, we didnt book the entertainment yet bc I was also unsure on that one, but at the moment we are leaning towards a calypso band, she will answer any questions you have though, I dont know much about what you want witht he DJ and dance floor, but I havent seen anywhere in the books an option for a dance floor but I would def make sure you ask her.

How many guests do you think you will have?

Did you sign the wedding/group contract yet?

Wow..thanks. That's so helpful.

We received the wedding contract from our travel agent, but haven't filled it out or signed it yet. We are confirmed though and the TA booked the date/time ahead of time because they were all going fast.

Things seem to happen so fast and no one seems to wait for you to decide on what you want. Sigh, very quick and overwhelming...but i'm sure it'll get easier. I don't mind all this planning...i'm so excited to be going!

We have 30 guests confirmed and booked right now...but i heard that the resort is selling out like crazy the week we having the wedding - May 15-22. Already a couple of our guests have had to bump up a room category.

I like your idea of doing the calypso band. That sounds really cool. I'm thinking of booking hair and makeup through another company that i've heard amazing things about. I'm just waiting to hear back....Shenique....from Sheque Perfection...i heard she's really great.

We're not sure about the photography yet either...everyone seems to be recommending Tropical imaging....hmm...maybe we'll do a honeymoon shoot while we're there just the two of us.

Thanks for all the advice/help....and good luck with your planning....seaside pkg really does look amazing...and i heard that you don't have to pay 500$/table if you don't want the same set up...hmmm...maybe we will revisit the pkgs.

Thanks again..i appreciate it.

Your welcome! Thats good that you have that many guests, you will get a lot of freebies and upgrades with that many guests/rooms booked!

Yes everything will get better once you make all the big decisions its a piece of cake after that!

I have heard great things about Shenique, she does amazing hair and makeup!

We already sprung for one outside vendor so I opted to just go with beaches doing my hair and makeup, I would highly recommend TI as well, they are doing 2 shoots for us, your idea of a honeymoon shoot with them sounds like a great idea, I would def book some sort of session with them so you can leave there with some amazing photos!  Have you checked out their website?

That is true you dont have to decorate all the tables in the theme, they will just do basic white linens and china etc...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
