I had posted a thread venting about how a sales lady at David's Bridal in Paramus NJ who was so pushy and annoying....

Well, after I had a really bad experience with the dress I chose, I decided to start dress-shopping all over. With three months to go things did not look good. I had a few appointments, but no dress was THE dress. I had a few hours to spare before picking my fiance up from work, so I looked for bridal shops around his area and David's Bridal came up (Nanuet NY). I called them and asked if I could come over and a very nice lady on the phone said it was OK. When I came in they were waiting for me with dresses ready for me to tray on based on my last visit. They showed me a catalog and I chose some other dresses. The lady on the phone was the floor manager and she assigned me a brides consultant as well as an in-training brides consultant.

I was not going to tell them about what happened with my dress or what had happened at the other David's Bridal.

They made me feel so welcome and comfortable, I opened up. It actually worked out at the end.

After several dresses, some I liked, some not, I put on their Satin trumpet gown with cascading ruffle back Style SWG9905

and did not think anything of it until I saw myself in the mirror.

That was THE one. It is SO the one. I am elated.

I ordered it, they worked out the price with me and saved me nearly $300 (I bought a hair piece as well). Part of the discount was because I had a bad experience with the other DB.

I am so happy I gave them a second chance. They gave me my dress. YAY.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
