I've been ball parking the guest count, we have some RSVPs back and ppl booking and I've added a few extra ppl that may come. I figure if I need more I will improvise or get the same if possible and if I have too many then I will offer it to brides on here after. The personalized stuff I've been trying to stay away from until I have a for sure number, but the cups where too good to pass up so we got lots... more than necessary, but we decided that we will give them to some family members that will not be able to attend. This probably wasn't too helpful, but it's what I'm doing. Thought if I spend a little here and there until we go it won't be like spending a ton at once.

I am in the same boat! I want to start purchasing items & even the bags but have no clue how many. Everyone has said they are in but only 2 people have actually booked. I figured I would wait until after my invites go out with the RSVP cards & hope that I get some back! I really don't want to just guess & have too little or less of what I need.

Kya101 - Congrats!!! 9 months will be here before you know it!!

Ladies,

Per a suggestion from my TA, on our website we have included an "Inital Deposit Due by time"  Although we know that there will be quite a few late bookings, at least we can start to get some type of head count.  In additon, our TA will advise of us who has booked.  Also, on my website, I have asked people to RSVP.

If I see items that I "just can't pass up or otherwise on sale" I will get them and probably overestimate.  However; we are doing Towels/Cups for our OOT bags so I will wait on those as they will be monogrammed.

OK as promised, here are pics and the link to the ebay sight/seller for the cups we got. We absolutely love them and depending on how many you need you can search around her ebay store for different options. The link is for the 50 count, but found a 100 count for $105.00 and ordered them. We figure we need about 75 so we just got more then less and are going to give the left over cups to guests who were not able to make it. Oh and the seller was super awesome, we sent her our own design and she replied the same day and we recieved them within 2 weeks!!! Enjoy!!!

Good day ladies....so nice to finally see 2012 Brides getting some love!

We are getting married May 20, 2012 in St. Thomas!

We are very focused and have taken care of a lot so far:

1. Venue booked (including room blocks)

2. Deposit on our bands

3. My dress (it's awesome....so siked to wear it....that is why it will stay at my MOH house :-) )

4. Airline code

5. MOH dress + 1 bridesmaids dress (very small wedding party) - the guys will be so easy....

There are obviously sooooo many other things to do.  But honestly ladies, by choosing to be destination brides....we leave a lot to the WC's so....we need something to keep us occupied!

Happy planning!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
