Congrats!! I'm an April 2012 bride and with a 5pm ceremony, am also curious what time the sun sets. I've looked at Riviera Maya weather sites, but it's nice to hear from a fellow bride :) Have a wonderful time!

We are getting married in April as well, and we are just trying to decide what time to have our ceremony at. What is the most common?? I have noticed lots at 530 but I worry that the sun will start to set so Im curious to hear what others say.

Hi ladies!! Some how I just came across this thread. My fiance and I are getting married on May 13, 2012 at Hacienda Tres Rios in the Riviera Maya! I am getting really excited but then I try to remind myself I have a little over a year to go still!

We haven't set a ceremony time yet but we are thinking 5-530. Our photographer recommended between 530-630 because the sun will be around until about 7pm that time of year.

How many people are you ladies expecting will attend you DW?

Welcome Samantha88k and Congratswoot.gif

This site is awesome!!  We invited 150 of our closet family and friends.  We hope to get at least 50 people.  75 would be amazing ;-)

We did the opposite even though his family is much larger than mine.  But we both have massive amount of friends etc.  We are not having an AHR because we are buying a home.  In addition, we would spend more for the AHR than the wedding because of the people that we know.  For us it would be have been a big debt which is what facilitated a destination wedding ;-)  But so far everyone says "oh we are going to make a vacation out of it" or "this will be our vacation for the year"  we will see as the STDs go out in 2 weeks.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
