I went for a pop of colour to.  I'm not really a traditional pearls and diamonds kind of girl.  I wanted colourful jewellery.

All of our jewellery was made by my bridesmaid Michelle. She's so talented! She made matching earrings and necklaces for the bridesmaids, my earrings and necklace and my gorgeous hair vine. We were looking on etsy together, and she was like "I could do this!" then she did!

I see it's been awhile since anyone has posted in this thread! Let's reinvigorate it!

I'm a huge jewellery person- especially large dangly earrings! Anyone have recommendations where I can find some crystal ones?

I'm with you! I always wear big dangly earrings, and it's become a signature for me.

I was having a really hard time deciding on jewelry just by searching the internet (etsy addict here!)

I got lucky and went to an accessories trunk show at the bridal shop that is doing my alterations. So I got to try on jewelry with my dress which helped a ton with the decision. I was a wee bit sad to find that I didn't like the big dangly earrings with my dress. I still got some dangly, they just aren't as big as I thought they would be (I hoped for some nice chandeliers!).

anyway - here's my jewelry:  my necklace is pretty small, and the bracelet is chunky and totally bling! I also have a headband that matches the bracelet (part of the reason the huge earrings & necklace didn't happen). I can't say I'm in love with the necklace (even now), but it really did work with the dress and the other pieces. The first three came from the bridal shop (with 20% off due to the trunk show!), the prices were very comparable to etsy and some of the other sites I've seen.

and here's the headpiece I got: I found it a long time ago and drooled over it until I figured out the rest of my jewelry. it's from etsy seller ChantalEveleen.

I love your headpiece - it will look great!  And the earrings look great too - you might even be able to wear them again?

thank you! yes, I think I can wear the earrings for a dressy event or a night out on the town.

I also found this kate spade necklace on one of her sales and it's STUNNING:

then when it arrived, those crystals are HUMONGOUS. so I may try it on with the dress and see if it's too much (I think that answer is YES), and then wear it for another wedding-weekend event.

thank you!!!

I'm not sure who did the bracelet - I bought it at a bridal shop.

The etsy shop that had the headband had a similar bracelet, the center rhinestone piece and a pearl band. I'm sure she could probably create a blinged out bracelet instead of the pearl band. The center of the headband matches the bracelet I got (coincidence and fate I think!).

I don't see the bracelet listed right now, but maybe you can convo her to see what she can do? Here's her shop: ChantalEveleen

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
