Keep in mind.. The gym.. will only get you so far. It's all a math game.. you gotta count your calories! I'm a triathlete and I just joined NutriSystem because I can't keep my calories in check enough to drop that last 10 pounds! That and I work really bizzare hours and need to eat more balanced!

Keep your chin up.. It'll be worth all the hard work in the end.

I would suggest some Bikram (or hot) Yoga classes to help you sweat it out. It's a fantastic thing to do for your body - feels quite a bit like Chinese touture in the beginning, but you feels SO great afterwards. It's basially your standard 90 minute yoga instruction, but in a room that is about 35-40 degrees celcius - HOT!!! And you do not leave it at all for the duration. The first few times I went I had to lay down quite a bit, becuase it is obviously very strenuos, but if you can push through - it's awesome!! I'd definetely recommend looking it up in your area!

Ack! Nutrisystem!

Been there, done that...Not sure if you've already been on the program or what success you've had, but Nutrisystem made both of us incredibly sick. sad.gif

I am not an exercise person, so I'll just focus on diet. What works for me is to not to stuff myself when I eat a meal. 80 to 90% full is good. Eat lots of green veggie and fruit. Cut out soda and drink lots of water instead. Really have to stay on top of yourself to stay away from fattening deserts like BROWNIES!!! Come on, we can all do it. What can be more motivating than our dream wedding?!!!

Hehe... Gen, you like soft drinks don't you? What about switching to diet soft drinks *just* until after your wedding?

Hmmm... I am on and off my excercise routine, so I am not much help. I was getting to be pretty consistent until got a cold last week.

I signed into Self.com did a 4-week challenge, logged workouts, logged food. The short term goal seemed to motivate me and the food logging made me accountable. I am about to start another one today. They have exercises for losing weight, toning, endurance, one more I am missing...

I also just read another post NurseSarah wrote about what she did very close to her wedding. I won't quote her, but it was a lot of cardio, weights and diet. So I have to log out and go workout!

Good luck ladies!

Gen, I'm down to a bit under 2 months now till our wedding and FI and I are both just running our butts off and trying to up our lean protein, veggies whole grains (we had chicken/veggies stirfry over brown rice last night and it was pretty good) and drink as much water as possible and keeping our spirited beverages to red wine (I mean, come on, it's good for the heart, right?). How is your routine coming along? Making some progress?

I am really into exercise. It helps you look better, feel better, and is a GREAT energy boost!

My advice to you is this. Follow it like a hawk. You can do it!

Eat 5-6 small meals a day. Be really strict w/ this.

I do this from Mon-Fri and on the weekends, eat whatever I want.

Exercise!

In order to lose weight, you MUST burn more calories than you are taking in.

So cardio is the answer to that.

You could walk 45 minutes 4 times a week.

Start lifting weights and voila, in two months, you will DEF see a different.

I lost 12 pounds in 2.5 months doing this. A long time ago. And have kept the weight off since.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
