2 months, 2 weeks, 2 days - Diet/Exercise advice?

So my wedding is in 2 months, 2 weeks and 2 days...And, let's just say that I've been a little lax on the diet and exercise plan that I had originally put into place in order to lose weight before the wedding. By a little lax, I mean that I haven't done much of anything - and that's a huge problem.

Are there any brides out there who waited until the last minute to start preparing themselves for their weddings using diet and exercise? What did you do and how successful were you? Does anyone have any advice?

I know, I know...I should've started sooner. =)

i am not big for crash diets but a few of my friends have done "The Fat Flush" by Ann Louise Gittleman (sp?) - just google "Fat Flush".

i watched the lbs melt off of them - it is REALLY restrictive and only good for short term stuff!

Good Luck!

I recommend some serious cardio or pilates and then accompany that with the weight watchers point system. make sure to drink all the required water... that should work.

Susan is our personal trainer and may be able to tell you something safe to do with fast results.

I did cardio and strength training like 5-6 days a week, for like 2 months leading up to the wedding. You still have some time - - don't freak yet, just get to work sista!!

I agree. Join weight watchers or find someone that has the books/point counter that you can use. It works like a charm!

Combine that with exercise. You don't need to kill yourself over it. Just walk a few miles a day, then move it up to a jog/run. Do lots of crunches, leg lifts, squats...all of which can be done in front of the tv if necessary.

My favorite is the leg throw...lay on your back and have your FH stand with his feet on both sides of your head. Hold the backs of his calves and lift your legs up towards him. Have him push your feet down towards the floor but don't let them touch! Bring them back up and repeat. He can even push them towards the sides to get your obliques. This works awesome on your abs, thighs, and lower back. Then switch and have him do it so you can get an arm workout wink.gif

Everyone has such good advice! Now my motivation should just be the fact that my wedding is so soon....Of course, I'm sitting here eating a huge plate of brownies, which isn't helping!

We really need to start going to the gym. REALLY need to start. =)

I've been trying to motivate myself since January and I'm now about 2 months away and have just decided that I have to be good from now until I get to mexico, sad.gif It really sucks, I'm so hungry right now, I could go for some of those brownies you're eating!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
