Beaches ~ Turks & Caicos Roll Call!

Recommended Posts

Hi and welcome.

I now have Dexter.   He took Roxy's place while she is on maternity leave.  I only  had 1 planning session with Roxy.  I did not get a follow up email from her.  I will need to touch base with him.

I hope he is not pushy.  She was not.  She was very open to any discussions and questions. The only time I felt like she was a little pushy was to book a photograper.  I booked TI but did not tell them.  I have read from previous brides that the Beaches photographers will not take any good pictures if they know you have hired an outside vendor.  I told them I did not want a package.

I will pay for each.  I also booked Shenique for my hair and make up. I did not want to take a chance on not getting a good person from beaches.

Krys.... Anymore info. About locals?? Proximity from beaches resort?? Walking distance? Or cab/jeep ride away....?? Are locals set up for bargaining prices?? How are prices? Heard beaches is ridiculously inflated... Same everywhere??Or are they set?? What to expect?

Cepreto--when was promo offered for pix??

Anyone..... Does anyone have Dexter as WP ?? Assuming he took Monica's position??

Thanks  ladies/gents:)

Hello ladies! I am in the process of posting my reviews for you all. But in the meantime I would like to refer the people who helped with EVERY aspect of my wedding. From dealing with the Beaches reps for me (such a relief) to getting all of my guests there at the best rates, blocking rooms at a good price, getting me a wonderful on-site coordinator & photographer, and much much more!

Hello All

Im Amber.  Im getting married May 9th, 2012.  Its only myself, my husband (to be) and my two children (a one and a half year old and a three and a half yeaer old).  We choose to go off site for photography done by Tropical Imaging.  My question is wede like a few pictures of just myself and my husband so we were looking at hiring a nanny for a few hours off the resort.  Do you no if Beaches will allow the nannies to do this?   Also we want to hire someone to use our video camera and tape the ceremony....do you think i can find someone on the resort to do this for fifty dollars for twenty minutes.  We really cant afford $500.

Thanks

Amber

Thanks Melissa!! I haven't actually booked with T.I . But we had a few conversations and I def want to go with them, just a little disappointed that my session with them can't be on actual wedding day so I have to pay for hair and make up twice! :( I have my first phone conference w/ Dexter on Nov.15... I too am not going to purchase any packages from Beaches although I did see they have one good photographer Patrick.... But nothing like the work from T.I.

Does anyone know the smoking policies @ Beaches? We have ALOT of smokers coming with us :0

hey girls I need some help.. I am waiting for Roxy to get back to me on some pricing.  But does anyone know the price of an archway for the beach with colored sheets/curtains. I know the archway its self goes for $250 but wasn't sure if anyone had the answer to that question. I am looking to have an archway with pink and orange sheets. =]

Hi,

Roxy is on maternity leave.  I am also waiting for pricing.  My new contact is Dexter.  His email is dboucher@uvltd.com.

Hope this helps.

I thought the arch was $350.

Hey Melissa! Thank you for the email address. I wasn't sure if Roxy had gone on maternity leave. When I did speak to Roxy 2 weeks ago she had told me that the archway for the beach started at $250 but depended on how I wanted it to look. I am going to try Dexter and see if he can help.

I have spoken with Beaches directly regarding this, not hiring a nanny from an off premise per se, but beaches actually has "after hours" nannies, certified etc. I am also taking my 2 yr old and 11 yr old. and inquired....they have babysitting in your room for $15/hr before 11 pm and $20/hr after 11. hope this helps!!

Hi Ladies -

I just got back from our wedding at Beaches T & C.  Everything was awsome!   Ileana from TI took our photos - she is the best!!!!!  Our pictures are on the TI blog. Shenique did my hair and makeup - loved her - she did a great job.   Cominique was our wedding coordinator at the resort.  She is such a sweetheart!

I will post my review and pictures soon.  Let me know if you have any questions.

Michelle

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
