Thanks Wendy5512, I will copy you and add myself to the thread.  Wedding is booked for 5/9/2012 at 1pm.  I have a new wedding coordinator though, Roxy.  I guess Monica is too busy - this may be good but will let you know...

Melissa43 -

The steel pan player was really nice, I just would have liked that he played the bridal chorus, and I am sure he probably would but he specifically needs to be told apparently.  It cost $500 per hour.  My guest really enjoyed the steel pan player, however I felt cheated since I didn't get to listen to it except for when I came down the aisle, because afterwards we took photos while he continued to play (I assume) and by the time we got back he was gone and my "so called" 1 man calypso band was playing.

Here are the 2 cd's I had purchased;

http://www.amazon.com/Steel-Drum-Wedding-Music/dp/B003BUSKAS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1310433840&sr=8-1

http://www.amazon.com/Steel-Drum-Island-Tropical-Collection/dp/B0033A9L8G/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1310433840&sr=8-2

The first time I heard the Bridal Chorus (here comes the bride) on the CD I started crying!

The sand ceremony was through the resort and it costs $100, it was a nice way to include the kids...lots of the sand did not make it in the jar (which was funny) -while we were taking photos the kids were playing in the sand...too bad the photographer missed the candid shots, it was so cute!

Brandy, you got some really great shots of the resort!! Makes me miss it so much!!  I completely agree I had every intention of getting all kinds of shots for the ladies on here but you get so wrapped up in everything its hard to.

And Im so sorry to hear about everything you went through!!!! It just blows my mind how one girl can have everything go right and another girl can have a ton of things go wrong, I think thats why its important to remember that things can go wrong and you just have to stay calm and try to go with the flow as best as possible. I believe the calypso band is only actually 2 people, Im gonna go back and look at my photos but they should have informed you if you couldnt get the entire package!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
