As anyone had ROXI as their wedding planner?

Roxi is the main coordinator for Beaches T&C, she's the one setting up the preliminary information. Roxi has been really good with me and very patient. She makes sure your selections for theme, music, menu, etc. are entered in the system although you can still change lots of things when you get there. I don't think you can change your theme when you get there, but you can add a DJ, band, etc. Also, Roxi is the one who you would send any info relating to allergies and things regarding your guests so that the food accommodations are taken care of.

Thanks.I'm sooo excited..although my conference call  is in May. I look forward for all the details.

Blakdeevah~ Beaches used to have the whole table set up for a specified amount of money.  The bb is still listed as $100 per table and the seaside one was $500. It looks like now it's a la carte.  Now you can pick and choose what you want and interchange everything.  I believe just the centerpiece from seaside is $225 and that's probably per table.  Have you looked at all the options here:

The sit down reception dinner is another separate fee as you get a more private space (as opposed to a restaurant) usually a wait staff and a bartender.

Does that help?

Thanks AmberDragon. But Why are they soo expensive? I hope the centerpieces are really beautilful as in the pictures. I wanted the Island Paradise the but  dunno its really expensive but I love it! Dunno!

I have my conference call in May with Roxi too.  We were supposed to be married this year June 2013 and had to push it back to next year.  Back in planning mode and so excited.

I still wanted to keep our original anniversary date, so the only option was to wait another year.  It's a very good thing, but sadly now we have to wait even longer.  Good news...I'm pregnant!  Baby is due late June.

So now we are getting married on October 13, 2014 at 4pm.  I still want my beach ceremony, and now I can get closer to sunset for the reception.  At least I have lots of time to figure out what I'm doing- formal private dinner vs cocktail+ restaurant.

I did hear that Ileana with Tropical Imaging went solo and left the company.  I'm trying to get in contact with her about her rates as I would still love to try and book her.

Happy planning everyone.

Congrats to you and your new baby!! When is baby due?  Wow Ileana left and started her own she did have great reviews.  We pushed back another year too even more impatient then before.

Hi,

I'm having my wedding there too next year and I have a TA working on it for me. I send the save the dates and they contact her. We did a contract with a minimum of 10 rooms and we made a deposit. That was the only way to insure the prices.

We are using a TA as well.  Did you send out your save the dates as of yet?

Any other suggestions or ideas or tips until i come up with my next question is most welcome!!

thanks everyone and im excited to have found this forum!

Nicole

Congrats to you!

I brought my own photographer. They must be on the property for two nights in order to be there. SO WORTH IT! My photographer was a friend, she stayed the whole trip, and took pics of the whole weekend! I highly suggest it! So fabulous

Did they give you a hard time with bringing your own photographer?  Did you still have to purchase pics from them?

The sand ceremony container included does have martha stewart logo on it.  It's nothing fancy.  I thought I had a picture, but can't find it.

you don't have to tell the TA that it's for photographer though right?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
