Beaches ~ Turks & Caicos Roll Call!

Recommended Posts

Great news this is actually a big concern on mine.  I heard great things about Jennifer I was actually going to use her as well just for the fact that she was also married there. Figured who would be better than someone already with experience with the resort.  However, I ended up using someone else through my cousin who is also getting married recommendation she is using for her honeymoon

Amber the bouquet is beautiful!! You won't be disappointed with it once you receive it trust me. Wedideas does an awesome job with their bouquets. I had a veil and I'm happy I did. I didn't put it over my face for walking down the isle but I did for a few pics. It's windy down there but nothing crazy that you can't do the veil. I was really worried about the veil beforehand too but in the end I'm glad I did it :)

Jessica~ I bought mine from Wedideas.com I chose one that is ivory calia lillies and 3 shades of purple roses.  I should get pics soon then once I approve it, then will mail it out.   This is the link to the actual bouquet that I modified.  Can't wait to get it.  If I am satisfied with it once I receive it, I will order all the other flowers from them for the wedding party. http://www.wedideas.com/Purple_Lavender_Roses_Bouquet_p/bqpps006.htm My mother in law talked me into a veil and a tiara.  I have seen pics of other brides wearing veils and they are blowing around a bit, but it still looks beautiful.

Hi Brooke! Congrats and welcome to the thread! I got married at Beaches T&C this past May 19th at 3pm. We had 18 people and didn't do a private reception, because it was either $50/pp or $75/pp depending on what you wanted. We couldn't fathom spending that when we were on an all inclusive resort. We did opt to do the private cocktail reception though for 1 hour. We are so happy we did it this way. After the cocktail reception we had reservations at Schooners for dinner and everyone was very happy. I have heard of people doing the reservation at a restaurant for their "reception" and it worked for them. You may just be limited in which restaurants can accommodate that many people all together. Like Le Petite Chateau from what I saw couldn't do a party that large. And neither can the Hibachi restaurant Kimonos. But don't let that deter you. It's all a matter of what is in your budget :) let me know if you have any other questions! ~Jess

Hey everyone, I just booked my Weddingmoon at Beaches T&C today!!  We're getting married May 8th, 2013 at 2pm!!  I don't have my first phone call with Roxi until September 18th so maybe I could pick your brains a little bit for information... Does anyone know how much it is per person to have a private reception?  Also, is it possible to just extend the cocktail hour?  I'm probably going to have about 50 guests so I'm trying to figure out whether it would be better to have a private reception OR just try to make dinner reservations all at the same restaurant...any ideas/thoughts?!  All of your input is greatly appreciated!!!!! ~Brooke~

Hello Ladies,

Our big day is coming up fast and furious! We are just about two months away and we couldn't be happier! Just finished making the bouquets and figured I would post them and see what you guys think! Our colors are hot pink and orange so we tried to make the bouquets match our theme just right.

Kisha,

No they are not real touch flowers, however real touch are always beautiful. A family member of mine actually used to be a florist and has a lot of experience with making bouquets both real and artificial. After going to a few different florist supply shops and craft stores we were able to put these together.

Those look so beautiful Alexa.

Jess~ Thanks for the input.  I have a veil as well so we'll see when we get there what I do it with. I really appreciate your input!

My reception has to be right after the wedding since it's on a Sunday.  It's kinda nice just being told what my options are instead of trying to figure out times.  I'm thinking about doing a hour brunch reception then a dinner at a restaurant. I still have lots of time which is good since my guest list is still deciding what they will do.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
