@@blakdeevah, I am not sure about that she did not give me that option.  but if you have the $45 sit down then that is half hour cocktail hour  and 2hour reception so if you wanted an extra hour to that then you might as well just do the $65 sit down dinner because that's cocktail and dinner reception for 3hours.

@@tyrebride2b2013 that is so frustrating! We are probably going to have about 30 so I am thinking dinner at one of the restaurants and either a one or two hour cocktail reception. I just get torn because my concern is if we do the cocktail reception before then the flow might be thrown off because you go from drinking/dancing to a sit down dinner. I just want everyone to have a good time. Now I'm wondering if adding one of the local bands would add to the atmosphere...

@@Linz1131 thanks yes very frustrating because I really wanted the whole sit down reception dinner with entertainment.  30 is a good # for a destination wedding. You can always go drink and dance again after the sit down maybe at the club they have there. Cocktail hour is usually before the sit down dinner at a traditional wedding so you should be okay, best thing about a destination wedding you can still party your on vacation

What are you girls doing about reception entertainment? DJ? Steel Pam? Calypso?

Are you doing one or two hour reception!

I CANT DECIDE,!!

We are doing a mix of ipod/speaker rental and DJ for the evening cocktails/reception. We've also got the fire dancers coming in near the end of the dinner portion of the night. The DJ and fire dancers are quite pricey but I hope it'll be worth it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
