Beaches ~ Turks & Caicos Roll Call!

Recommended Posts

We flew our photographer down, so he and his assistant stayed at the resort as a part of our wedding party. We simply told the resort we had our own photographer and didn't need Beaches. Shenique was pretty good. She did my hair according to the picture I showed. The makeup was alright to me, I'm not a makeup person and I didn't really specify the look I was going for so it fell short for me. I did a boudoir shoot a couple of months ago and really loved my makeup for that so I had the same expectations. I know she had other brides to do that day so she wasn't very chatty but that could just be her business demeanor. She only did me and my mom that day.
Oh okay thanks good to know

Hi Pam!! Congrats on the wedding!! The picture you posted was awesome! I'm newly engaged & haven't set a date yet but I've been dreaming of a Beaches T&C wedding for years. Did they have the date available that you wanted or did you select your wedding date based on their availabilty?

Hi Ladies!!! Congrats to all who were recently married!! I have been looking through this site for a few years, when I first fell in love with Beaches T&C. Now that I'm FINALLY engaged, I decided it was time to officially join. We still haven't set a date and I'm in my first stage of planning - researching locations & getting price quotes. Since Beaches T&C has been my dream, I want to look into it right away. Before contacting them for pricing, is there anything I should mention or ask for when I speak to them? I'm gathering my list of questions before I call them. I'm open to any & all advice I can get about the planning process. Thanks! Alicia

welcome and congrats to you.  I booked through a TA I didn't actually speak to resort first. you are giving a date and time for a conference call where you can ask your specific questions once booked.

Sorry guys!  I'm still trying to figure out how to use this thing!  I am getting married in June 2014 and looking to use Ileana as well.  It is true that it costs $3,800 and you have to put down 50% deposit to reserve the date.  You get 200 pics on CD I believe.  I am not sure if I really trust the resort's photographers.  Ileana's work looks phenomenal, but it's expensive.

Has anyone on here used Ileana and have sample pics?

Also, I didn't know there was an option of simply playing your own Ipod during dinner/reception.  The DJ is $350 an hour!  We plan on having an extended hour reception so you're looking at $1,050.  Thoughts anyone?

Yes. Your pricing on Ileana is correct. You have to contact Roxi to book her andpay at least half if the $3800 to reserve the services which covers four hours I believe and includes only 200 digital photos. Anything else is an extra purchase.

I recently booked at T&C for my wedding in May 2015. We had to plan so far out due to me and my fiance's crazy schedules. We perused the website first to get an idea of what we wanted for our wedding. We played around with the plan your own wedding part of the website and cross compared it to the pre built packages. Because we have so much time we will be planning on bringing a number of hand made items for the wedding. The prices, we have found, are a little outrageous. We also  decided to go with a travel agent to help us book our wedding. She is a certified Beaches professional. And we have not had one complaint about her yet. She has been absolutely amazing and she knows all of the ins and outs about the Beaches pricing schedule and promotions. She will be acting as our middle man between the resort and ourseves. Hopefully this helped.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
