What we did instead was pay an outside photographer to do a photo shoot after the wedding. They are amaizing and take much better photographs. Maybe you have read about them here in the forum. They are briliant by tropical imaging. See their site and their blog where you see samples of their work. :)

Congratulations! Your ceremony was intimate, that's nice. Did you have any family or friends attend? We are having a rather large party so I'm wondering about a few things.

Hi No it was just me and my husband nobody else. But I did see some weddings that had family and friends with them. I believe with the free beginnings you get a table for up to six guests. More than that you have to pay extra. Natalia

Hi everyone, Newly engaged and getting married at Beaches Resort in Turks & Caicos, May 2014. I realize these threads are over a year ago but I'm hoping someone will come across my thread and be able to answer some of my questions. I'm not scheduled to talk with the Beaches wedding coordinator until August 2014 and I have so many questions and no patience to wait till then. First I'm confused why I'm selecting three colors on the weddingmoon website if all the items they show in their customized packages have specific colors already. For instance I love the seafoam package but not the red they use in the decor. Do they make the decors in the three colors I choose in the beginning? Or would I be stuck with the red used in that package? Also am I allowed to bring any of my own decorations? Example, Eco friendly butterfly confetti or do I have to use their items only? I have many more questions but I don't want to overwhelm any readers. So if anyone out there recently got married at the Beaches Resort in Turks & Caicos please let me know how it was and any advice you could give me. Thanks all. Impatient bride ; )

Cornix,

The thread started over a year ago, but there are several recent posts and information about what the current experience is at Turks and Caicos Beaches Resort.

Yes you can bring your own decorations, but they will charge you a modest set up fee of I believe $100 or something like that.

I am under the understanding if you pick a package already put together like the Seaside Serenade then you cannot change the content of the package like making the red twig another color. If you want to change certain aspects then you can start from scratch and customize your own package.

Hello! I have my conference call with roxi at the end of this month! But we can't decide on the time for the ceremony. Right now we have 4:00 on the beach booked but are really considering changing it to the sunset at 530? I just want to make sure we will have time for pictures after (we are bringing our own photographer). Any suggestions?!

I'm doing 4 as well as I don't want to pay the extra $600 to do it later. You could push your reception time (or whatever you are doing) back and do pics in between the ceremony and reception.  Just an idea.  Since you are bringing your own photographer you could just go with the flow of the sun for pictures.

If you actually go to the beginning and read all the pages, there are some great reviews and tips.  It's a long read, but definitely a good one. Answers soo many questions we all have.

If I need more room than the originally booked, then they can't guarantee the price but they will be part of your group still. I dont pay for any other costs for the reservation.  I hope this helps. Congrats and good luck. Keep me posted. Do you have a TA?

I don't have a TA. Although I am seriously looking into it.  Do you have one you could recommend? (PM that to me if you do)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
