Beaches ~ Turks & Caicos Roll Call!

Recommended Posts

We have great dr's on island if for any reason you need an antibiotic.  Don't bring an antibiotic unless it's been prescribed for a specific ailment...there is too much antibiotic resistant bacteria in the World right now, don't use one unless it's needed.   Our water is safe to drink/brush teeth etc.   It's from a desalination plant...no problems there.   Tetnus shots are a good shot to stay up to date with even at home...but we can do that here if for any reason you needed one.  I haven't had a Hep A vaccine since I went to Africa 17 years ago...again, not very necessary that I know of.

We have just had a lot of rain in a short period of time, which tends to produce some mosquitoes over the next 2 weeks (hotels spray, but you could get bitten at dawn and dusk).   It's not bad, but if you are sensitive to biting insects and are arriving in the next couple of weeks, bring some Off from home...it's more expensive here.   (Again they won't be bad compared to rainforest type places, but just more than we're used to.

Hope that helps...

I need to vent for a moment.  I looked up the pricing for Tropical Imaging and found one page under portraits for prices.  Under the Island Escape option, it states for brides that want to trash the dress. I assumed that was the price.  I couldn't find prices for the boudoir session or deposit information so I finally emailed them.  I requested Ileana on the comment area and she responded to me.  I asked about that pricing and she said that it's not for wedding couples as they do extra TLC for editing.  While I understand that, put that on your website!!!  So any brides looking into using them, they require 50% deposit to book your session and they email you an attachment with the prices.  I'm glad I still have over a year before the wedding to save up and add it to the budget.  I really want to do ttd, boudoir and maybe an hour after the ceremony with guests.

For the record, Ileana was great in the emails and gave me all the info I needed. I really hope I get to work with her when it's my wedding time.

So I just had my phone call to schedule my planning session with Roxy. I was very upfront about my hesitations on her responsiveness and customer service based on the information posted by past brides. The representative assured me that I can reach out to her directly if I did not have a satisfactory call with her, so wish me luck!

Awesome pictures! Beaches allowed you to bring them on-site to take your photos? I love it. I think I will be bombarding you with questions as time goes on, if you don't mind. Beautiful though, I really like the one of the 3 of you laying on top of each other.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
