Beaches ~ Turks & Caicos Roll Call!

Recommended Posts

Thanks Brandy :) My TA had mentioned to me that our witnesses needed to be there for 36 (?) hours, which kinda sucks since our BM isnt flying in until the day before due to airline schedule change. Im gonna email her now and see what she says, but if any other past brides know anything let me know!!

Past brides,

did anyone pay for a room for three nights for an outside photog ( ie tropical imaging)?  We were thinking of going this route, but don't know how the beaches staff will be with this.  I know we are technically following their established rules, but just wanted to hear from someone who may have done it.

Lizzdee and Brandy,

Saw the two of you are planning your weddings at Beaches T & C.  My daughter is having her wedding there May 4, 2011.  Wanting to hook you guys up with her and talk about plans.  We have had problems getting info about wedding options.  My daughter Melanie is scheduled to have the Island Paradise.  She is wanting to change the centerpiece to tropical orange/coral colored flowers and is wanting to change her bouquet.  Lizzdee, I think I saw you were a wedding floral designer, didn't know if you had any ideas.  We have been speaking with the new wedding coordinator (briefly) and she isn't that helpful.  Are you guys having the same problem?  We are having our guests book through the group wedding department since they offer a free rehersal dinner, room upgrade for couple and other perks.  Don't know if you are aware of this, no one told me about this option for many months. I will give this web info to my daughter but if anyone has helpful info or if I can offer info I have received that would be great.  I am in Houston and my daughter is in Charlotte.

I will glady answer any questions your daughter has, just have her PM with any questions, and I can give her any info she is looking for.  And yes there are perks for booking a wedding group if you book 10 or more rooms the better the perks, as far as the rehearsal goes you can have that at any resturaunt it its free, they just have to make a reservation for you, and just so you  know its not actually a rehearsal dinner, because they dont actually rehearse anything, we considered ours more of a welcome dinner.  But like I said feel free to PM me with any questions and have your daughter do the same, Id be happy to help out

I receive my natural touch bouquet from wedideas.com.  All I can say is WOW!!  I was very hestitant about ordering a fake bouquet but did not want to spend the money to upgrade my bouquet.  Beaches charges way too much.    I wanted calla lillies and orchids. I had read about wedideas on this forum and how past brides were very happy.  I would recommend using wedideas using the natural touch flowers.  They did excactly what I wanted.  They are very easy to deal with.  The whole experience was great.  MY BOUQUET LOOKS REAL.  IT IS BEAUTIFUL!!

Melissa,

Thank you so much for posting about the bouquet! I have been looking into bouquets online but was hesitant to purchase one in case it came out looking very "fake"...I can't see your actual bouquet because I don't have privilages yet (I have to stop being a lurker! LOL) but I went on wedideas.com website and found a bouquet I fell in love with and I think I'm going to buy. How much was yours? Did you purchase any others for the bridal party? Or boutinneers?

Thanks again for the post!!

Hi,

My bouquet was $100.  I got the 10" round.  It is similar to the NT orchids & calla mix they have pictured on their website.  They wrapped it in the fushia/magenta ribbon.   I did not purchase anything else.  It is only my FI and son.  I ordered an extra boutinneer for my son from Beaches.

The orchids wedideas used will match the boutinneers from Beaches.

Which one did you fall in love with?

I am now wondering how I am going to transport the bouquet.

FYI

I got my bouquet in a few weeks.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
