Beaches ~ Turks & Caicos Roll Call!

I didn't realize you could do that! Beaches doesn't have a problem with that Krys?

As long as a room is paid for 3 nights in the photographers name, we have not had a problem with it.  I would say we've done it about 4-5 times in the past 2 years, and had no problems.  Ileana can give you details.

Here is a three part blog of one that was done in June there:

My husband Andy shot these.

Hey Ladies,

My name is Alexa and my wedding is set for 10/11/12 at Beaches Turks and Caicos. I am so glad I found this to help answer so many of my questions. Has anyone worked with with new wedding coordinator Roxy? I had my first planning session schedule for 10/6/11 with Monica and when I never received the call I called them directly and found out she was no longer with them.

Hi Lillove 81,

Hopefully I can help with a couple of answers to your planning questions. A few of the ladies on the forum here suggested that I use a travel agent and so far it has been wonderful. I don't have as many guest as you but for those that are attending our wedding they have asked a ton of questions and it has been very nice to say you can contact the travel agent and she will be happy to answer all your questions.

Question 2: From what we were told there is really no group rate with Beaches but if you find out differently please let me know.

Question 3: you can have up to five people in a room, you would have to request a rollaway bed.

Question 4: I didn't really give a limit as to how long people could stay, I presented you can make it a mini vacation so you can stay as long as you like.

Question 5: I did passport invitations and boarding pass RSVP, I got the idea of the forum here

Hope this helps,

I got a beautiful sand ceremony set from Etsy.  Etched Glass with tops for the center vase and each side pouring vase.  I got 3 side vases with my daughters name on one, and Mr & Mrs on the other 2. The center vase I got personalized with our names, wedding date, a large initial and a short saying.  I will try to take a picture later and post it.   I bought the sand from Michael's Crafts.  I wanted to make sure I had the exact colors I wanted.

This is the script that I am going to use:

As you stand beside the ocean, may your love always be as constant as the tide; waves flowing endlessly from the depths of the sea.  Just as water is the eternal force of life, so is love.  Love is the force tht allows us to face fear and uncertainty with courage.  Love is the force that completes us.

Michelle & George, today you join your lives together.  These bottles of sand, of various colors, symbolize your individual spirits of you and that of Michelle's daughter Nicole.  Each container is unique, representing who you are.  As these containers of sand are poured into this larger container, the different colors will join together to form something quite beautiful.  You are joined together today, not only in marriage, but as a family.

Just as these grains of sand can never be separated and poured again into the individual containers, so will be the bond with your family.

This symbol is a keepsake of your wedding day and reminds you that from this moment on, you are one familhy, anchored in love.

I think they are going to charge a "set up" fee for me bringing my own set.  Roxi said it was to set up a table for the sand ceremony.  She quoted me $50.

I saw a thread about the scripts.  When I talk to Roxy, will she be able to provide the scripts.  I would like one that is more family oriented since I am including my 8 year old son.  This is one of the reason we chose Beaches.  We want him to be a big part of the wedding.

Hi Melissa43 & the other ladies asking about the Sand Ceremony!  My husband and I had one for our wedding back in May this year.  You get to pick the color of the sand and they gave each color to us in a shell.  The jar we poured it into was huge and has "Martha Stewart Weddings" etched on the side.  We used it to bring the sand home, but switched it to something a little nicer. I've tried to attach a picture here so you can see what it looked like :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
