Hi Ladies,

I'm a newbie to this site, but want to thank you all for writing such robust and honest posts - was huge in helping me choose Beaches T&C for my March 10, 2012 wedding.  One question I am hoping someone can help me with - I am having a really difficult time getting in touch with our assigned wedding planner, Monica.  Any tips?

Thanks,

Jill

Hi Jillvella welcome.gif.  I am sure that some of the ladies that have already had their wedding will be able to answer your question better than I can, but I don't think you will have a telephone meeting with Monica until you are much closer to your date.

Have you been emailing or calling, I find email the best way to contact her, but it still takes her a day or two to respond, you just have to be patient, she will answer eventually, from what I understand they are pretty busy people.

Thanks Michelle and Brandy!  I got one initial voice mail from her and a follow up e-mail with the planning kit, but have not heard from her since. I'll wait a few more days before I email/call her again.  I'm a New Yorker, so I have trouble with "Island Time"! I guess I better get used to this!  Thanks for your quick replies!

For those of you trying to get in touch, just remember, these two weeks are the busiest of the year with may and April being the busiest on island.  Beaches can have up to 7-10 weddings a day these weeks with 3-5 a day minimum during April and May so the coordinators on site have their hands really really full.  It's not that they are ignoring you or are on island time, it's that they are going flat out to make the current brides happy (and there are a lot on island).  I know my husband has been doing 16 hour days for 3 weeks now with limited time off, and we don't do anywhere near the volume of Beaches weddings.

Hope that helps (this year is the busiest I have seen in 16 years on island, I guess the secret is out LOL)

Here are my finished invites! I wanted to share so you girls can use the wording if you want! I stole alot from other Beaches Turks girls and the Beaches brochure. I love the location card! Now i just need to find out how much it is gonna be to mail these suckers, they are kinda heavy and square which is apperently more expensive :( Also, i don't like any of the stamps at the Post Office, minor detail no-one will notice except me, i know, but still. And i am to lazy, cheap, impatient, to get custom stamps made. Ugh....lol!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
