Beaches ~ Turks & Caicos Roll Call!

Recommended Posts

Hi! Our names are Kim & Terrance.

My wedding date is October 13th, 2011

at 5pm (sunset) - Island Paradise

3 hour reception

photography by Beaches

~Hello everyone! Thanks for starting this forum!

I really need help I think.... I also paid for a large photography package and am seeing all of these reviews about the outside photography vendors. Does anyone have any advice on the photography?

I also notice the price is much less now for the Island Paradise from which I was quoted. I am confused on my theme. I want the sunset ceremony for sure! But I like the Seaside Seranade look also. Do you know if they are letting you swap and mix themes now?+

@ Iv1044- Can I get a copy of the new sales kit info you have. :-)

Any other advise from Beaches T&C brides I would LOVE!

Thanks!!!!!undecided.gif

I wanted to give you a heads up - the Beaches Wedding sales kit has changed and many of the themes have reduced prices. Also if you're booking as a group - the added amenities have changed. I'm having issues attaching files, so if you want an updated copy just send me a PM....cheesy.gif

Hi Iv1044

Can you send me a copy as well please?  I have not heard from Monica and the copy I have from August 2010.

Yes, the cocktail hour is included in the three hour reception with hor'dervs (sp?)  It is set up as 1 hr for cocktails and hor'dervs and 2 hour dinner/reception.  We decided to go with a plated dinner.  I actually sent in my dinner menu today.  It includes an appetizer, soup or salad, entree, and desert.  The 3 hr reception is $75/person.

I emailed Brilliant inquiring about prices but they still haven't responded.  I have finally paid off the entire wedding, which include a photography package.  If I decide to go with Brilliant, I wonder if Beaches will refund my money?  This would allow me to have the picture quality that I want, and I could still use the pictures that come with the Vision in White package to cover my ceremony.

Hi Kimterrance,

I'm not sure about the Island Paradise package but they are now offering to do any theme at sunset for an additional $600.  I also know that you can choose a package and upgrade whatever you want (arch, flowers, cake) to a "higher" quality.

Hope this helps! :)

Welcome Sophia!  We are also from Louisiana and getting married at Beaches, but in June 2012!  I've read all of those reviews also on tripadvisor, but I've heard that you should just take all of the with a grain of salt.  Some reviews are great, and some are terrible.  We have the owners penthouse booked and I haven't seen any reviews on that, so I'm worried too!  LOL  I think we will also be going with Brilliant for our photos, they have such beutiful work!

About Me:  My fiance and I have been together 6 1/2 yrs (it's about time he popped the question, lol).  We got engaged on May 7, 2010 in New Orleans.  We are from Louisiana, we are both in school.  I'm majoring in elementary education, he's in criminal justice.

I found this forum while looking for realistic pictures of the Carribean Village rooms at the resort.  I read some pretty scary reviews and now I'm wandering if I made a bad decision in booking the Carribean Village honeymoon junior sweet.  I called the resort to see about switching villages but they are totally booked for our stay, so now I'm stuck.  Any words of wisdom?

Oh, Im getting married June 2, 2011 (very soon)!  Yay! I'm so excited!  I literally dream about this trip at night.  We decided to go with the vision in white theme.  We are getting married at sunset... I think that's 5:00 p.m.  We were originally getting married at 3 but the new $600 promotion became available and we jumped on it.  The ceremony will be small, only the two of us, his parents and his sister, my parents and my sister (a total of 6 guests).

What made you change to the French Village?  I would love to change villages but since the resort is booked, I can't.  I'm going with the vision in white theme; did you save a lot of money by switching (If this is none of my business, please don't reply)?  I'm going with the 3hr reception, mainly for the cocktail hr.  I'm going to be staying in my dress the entire time.  I feel like with all the money paid for this dress, I wanna wear it as much as I can!

After reading so much about Brilliant, I am contemplating switching my photography package from Beaches to Brilliant.  I alread paid for the 18 (5x7s) for $410 (REDICULOUS!) and my theme comes with 12 (5x7s) and the standard video.  I was thinking about cancelling the additional 18 and getting some from Brilliant.  There work seems to be 100 x better!

I been hearing a lot about those real touch flowers, what are they?  I looked up the price of my bouquet and its over $300 (ouch)!

I cant remember who was asking about the Carribean village but that is where I am staying, I leave on March 30th and return on April 4th, and I will certainly be posting a review so I'll be sure to get you some pictures and info on the rooms there, Misti will be back in a couple of weeks too, but I cant remember what section she is in, so she may be able to chime in as well on the quality of them rooms I know trip advisor can be really harsh sometimes.

Hello Ladies!

Please be aware that the latest MS wedding kit is dated 3/1/11

this from Monica;

they are good changes as some of the themes have been discounted, we are able to do many options of the themes ala carte and also there are new exciting inclusions. We have actually a new promo w/ discounted fee's for some of the ala carte items of the themes such as the arches, all theme cakes.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
