Beaches ~ Turks & Caicos Roll Call!

Recommended Posts

I am not sure if my reply posted or not, trying to get used to new site :).  We decided to go with the beautiful beginnings and upgrade certain items.  The packages are really outrages for each table.  We are also going to do our own table arrangements.  We ended up adding and Arch, the white linens on chairs and upgrading the meal, we got a lot of freebies with the amount of people.  we have going. We are also doing gift bags which we are putting together. :)

Ceproto,

Perhaps you can let the rest of us in on what kind of freebies that you received for having soo many people attending. We too have a quite a few booked 23 adults and 3 children, travelling to Beaches January 16/11. I have a feeling that we are missing out on what we are entitled to. The only things that we were advised of was; the complimentary rehearsal dinner, the 35 min massage for my fiance and the mani and pedi for myself.

Thanks

Jordana

Surely,

Here is what we have so far

1.  Free 1 hour Rehearsal Dinner (You can honestly book this at any restaurant, I believe)

2.  On your 10th room you receive a free upgrade, which we are at

3.  On your 12th room you receive a free voucher of approx $1200.00 which equals out to about 1 person free stay for 3nts/4days

4.  Complimentary 30 min massage

5.  Complementary mani/pedi and trial makeup (not sure if that was included)

I think that about does it for us....I hopefully didn't leave anything off :)

These are fantastic!!! Only one question for you...I was under the impression that you couldn't really bring in your own stuff as they dont let you set things up yourself....are they charging you a set-up fee to do this? Thanks in advance for any tips/advice you might haveregarding this.

I will also do BB, but the prices of the flowers are way to steep for me to justify paying. (Especially since i am a floral designer here in NJ and get everything at whole sale prices!) The only thing i think i will upgrade is my bouquet, because i am a flower snob and i MUST have a fresh bouquet!!!!

Thanks, talk to you soon!!

Hi Ceproto,

I can surely use your TA's contact info.  At this starting point in our search, I don't know if I should be dealing one-on-one with the resorts or using the help of a TA.

Do I get better prices & upgrades using a TA?

Thanks,

Kerry

They did want to charge us to setup the center Pieces but our TA asked if we could have a person from our guest party set them up and they said yes.  The catch here is that you cannot do your own centerpiece with the MS collection, this is only if you go with the beautiful beginnings package.

Kana2011,

The key, I think is to get someone that has been there and knows the in ans outs of the resort and has a steady relationship with the wedding corridantors.

I would recommend here in a heart beat.  If you call or email her please tell her that you got her name from charity and mike cannella

Please anyone feel free to use her she is WONDERFUL and very knowledgable.  Also from what I hear they are so busy there that if you ask them a questions they can take up to 5 days to respond.  In my opinion, now a days that isn't good enough :)  Leslie is extremely knowledgeable and timely.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
