So far so good- still completely upset that I can not bring the photographer and videoagrapher on site!  We will go with Tropical Imaging off site and take whatever video Beaches  comes up with:(  Other than that- it is what it is and it will be an amazing time:)  It's a private ceremony with just my 11 year old and fiance... the formal reception will be back in Colorado this summer, hence why the video is EXTREMELY important to show on a big screen before the dinner.  I am not finicky about anything else- flowers, hair, make up whatever- just the video and pictures! I am wearing flip flops (very classy, fun ones)- with my beautiful dress and having sheneque do my hair and make up.  My guys have awesome custom linen suits and matching embroidered white linen shirts- it's just going to be great.  I ALWAYS wanted a private ceremony and huge formal bash after:)  For me it's personal and meaningful- and "savvy"  SO ticked about the outside vendor rule though- just have to get over it darn it!  Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season:)  Waiting to hear about the privacy of the honeymoon one bedroom suite as well- can't have an awkward moment with my 11 year old!  LOL! Just Kidding- gross.  :)

Peacefully,

Kimberly

Hey Girls, yes only 43 days until we leave...not that Im counting or anything msnwink.gif

We just ran into a little bit of an issue this week with Monica & Amoy from the wedding dept in Miami regarding the documents that I had forwarded to her. They were all stamped with a notary seal and aside from the fact that I paid $45 to send them from Canada I was less then impressed when I received a call yesterday advising that not all the documents were there as required.

I stood my ground with her cause Jason and I are not being married on the resort we are being married in a church on Providenciales.

Just ensure girls so that you aren't facing extra fees that you are sending what they are requiring!!!

The planning is slowly coming along........

Kimberly, yeah I think its total bs about the outside vendors as well, I mean I can see if they would want to charge you some sort of fee, or make you pay the day pass, but to not give you the option at all just plain stinks! Why dont they realize this day is very important to us and if we want a specific vendor we should be able to use them!!!

Hi Everyone!!  I would have LOVED to bring in Tropical Imaging also!! I hate that its our wedding day and can't have the pictures we want crybaby2.gif! I have heard a few people say they are using "Sheneque" for their hair and make up? Do you have details on her? Where she is located? Pictures of what she does and possibly how much? Also, anyone using veils? I heard its sooo windy there but the pictures I have seen Tropical do with the veil included are amazing.

It is windy.  I didn't use a veil but have short curly hair.  My curls were everywhere!  There are very few pictures from the ceremony that my hair looks 'normal'. A veil would've been a huge distraction to the ceremony.  I agree though- Tropical Imaging does amazing stuff with veils.  Who's saying you can't get one for the pictures with them?!?!  It's your day.  Do what you want.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
