I asked for them to send me a color swatch so I can make sure it goes with the rest of my colors and they said no to go to a local floral shop. Wow! I just spent awhile (a week?!?) reading this entire thread. I would highly recommend it to everyone. It will answer most every question you could have and made me think about things I hadn't even thought of yet!! And it changed my mind on alot of things! So I now know that I am being married on July 9, 2014 at 4pm. We will do a TTD photoshoot with Ileana the following day. I am going to look into real touch flowers. And I want to book with provoponies for horseback riding on the beach! Lol! I also learned I should be getting a 10% discount off my reservation total as I am a Veteran!!! I never would have known that if it wasn't for this thread and I will be calling my TA first thing Monday morning!!!! It have my conference call with Roxi July 13th., so I will be getting all my questions together before then! I'm having a small intimate wedding- but I still want everything perfect for us!! :-D I'm so excited!!!!

  • 2 weeks later...

It is with sadness that I have to say I am no longer a Beaches T&C bride.  We are still getting married, just changing venues.  With a baby on the way, the expenses are adding up.  We decided to switch over to Dreams in Mexico as it's much cheaper.  While I can't have the venue I really want, I still get to marry my soul mate on a beach.  Hopefully one of these years, I will make it to the resort.

My two cents.  I would go back to the beginning of this thread and read everything and start a spreadsheet or similar of all the tips and tricks. It really helped to answer soo many questions and concerns.  The one thing I've learned over the course of all this.  If you can be patient, it will all work out once you get to the resort.

Happy planning and best of luck to you all!

Hi congrats on your new bundle of joy! I know your wedding will be fantastic even though you aren't able to make TCI. Who knows maybe you can honeymoon there at a later date or celebrate your anniversary there.

All of these things aside, we are SOO excited!!

Congratulations on  your wedding! I'm sure everything worked out how you wanted! Can't wait to hear your review.

Hi ladies,

I've been away for a while, I hope everyone's planning is going well. We have finalized our wedding group and secured our wedding at Beaches. The only thing left to do is the finishing touches to our OOT bags. I still need to figure out what shoes I'm wearing and how I want to do hair and makeup that won't be ruined due to the weather. What's your status on getting prepaired?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
