Hi, I am getting married there August 12, 2011! Thanks for letting me know that they allow you to bring in your own sashes for the chairs. I am trying to color coordinate the flower girls, bridesmaid and the sashes, I do not want them to clash. That would be great if I can bring my own!

I am starting to get stressed out! What are your plans for the reception? I know that I am getting married on the beach but I am not sure what to do after. I am confused on the prices and if beer and wine are included in the dinner reception. Also i am starting to worry about getting my hair and makeup done done there, what are you doing about that?

Hi wife2be

So far I have cocktails at 4:30 in the lobby bar, 6pm wedding in the gazebo and after that private dinner and reception at the wet bar. the wine and soda are 5 dollars if u have the private dinner but i think if u have it at the restaurants its free. I am also getting my hair and makeup done there. i am still trying to figure out what hairstyle i want so i can bring a picture for the hairdresser to copy. i was going to get a makeup class at clinque but i figured i wouldn't feel like doing it myself so i might as well hope for the best. MY WC write down everything that i wanted so i feel better now. I do have to send in the package to make sure its all there for me. She did confirm everything and once that is done- you will feel better. your WC should set up your hair and makeup appointments for you. I think I wrote my WC twenty times to iron out all the details. I am annoying that way :)

Does the cocktail hour cost anything? That is a great idea to go to a make-up class. I have gone to a few Mac had in the past. Thanks for reminding me they have those!!

I feel like I am behind, you have so much done! I have not even talked to my WC, only my travel agent has.

Cocktail hour location doesn't cost anything and can be held at the piano bar in the lobby or on the terrace at the See & Sea.  they do charge a per person fee for any appetizers you want.  it doesn't come out right when i try to copy/paste the appetizer list on here, so if you need it PM me your email address and i will send it to you :)

Hi Wife2be,

I am so rude. Didn't realize you wrote back. Thanks islandbride for responding :)

I am getting lazy with the makeup classes and wondering if i should take a chance on the makeup again. if its horrible I can always wash it off and try to do it myself. I might still go and buy all the makeup in case though. I am just worried that I will be too stressed that day to put it on myself. You aren;'t behind. I feel like I have nothing to do now and I am getting bored. pace yourself. I figured I would work on one thing a week. As for your WC why not just write her and introduce yourself. I find that they will help you out more when they get to know you. I love my WC- so helpful and not irriated by my annoying questions. well at least she doesn't act like she is :)

Take care

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
