Steaming my wedding dress in Nassau plus my wedding details

I'm getting Married at Compass Point April 29, 2011. We are have rented a Stone's Throw Away Bed and Breakfast for our all of our guests. That way it will only be our fam and friends and no wild chidren or tourists. My wedding Panner, Victoris Sarne has been great, but I am having trouble "ironing out" one specific detail (no pun intended).

How am I going to dewrinkle my dress? It has to be hand steamed and the small B&B doesn't offer a service. The wedding planner recommeded I take it to a dry cleaners, but I'm feeling nervous about it.

Any suggestions???

Here are the wedding details in case anyone is interested in what we have planned.

Thursday our guests' arrive and we will have cocktails by the pool at the B&B. That night we are having a pig roast on the beach at the Poop Deck @ Sandyport.

Friday morning me and the girls are going to the Marley Resort Mystical Spa for for mani/pedi. The wedding is at 5 on the dock at Compass Point followed by a cocktail hour with a calypso band. For the reception we are having the choice of steak/chicken/ pasta. And a simple cake. We will have a DJ for the night.

Saturday the men are going deep sea fishing and we are either going to have the B&B prepare it for us for dinner.

Then we are off to Greece for our Honeymoon!!!

I found a place in the Cable Beach shopping center That will come to you and steam for a very reasonable price. I have my gown, grooms tux, and 4 bridesmaids dresses all for about $125. The place is called Buttons Bridal and Formal Wear LTD. They had a very quick response.

I think I have everything planned, but now I just have to hope the wedding planner has everything in order. She just sent a full list of everything I owe and all the plans. There are several things that were wrong! yikes!! She is suggesting that I wire her the remaining balance because the oversees fee is twice as much for using a credit card. Any thoughts?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
