Thanks MissJali. Yea it's your day and you will get whatever you want. We had some pics taken on the beach  and those came out gorgeous. I feel like I got the best of both worlds.  I definately recommend Marlen, one of the on site photographers. She was absolutely the best and she's the sweetest person you'll ever meet. Her pics came out awesome. I didn't have a reception because we had a small wedding with just our families. We had dinner afterwards at the seafood restaurant.

Girls that have Susana, I know it's stressful because she almost never gets back to anyone but she did a really good job on my wedding. Yes, she was running late and that part sucke but there are only about 4 girls in the whole wedding department working on hundreds of weddings. They each have a couple of weddings a day sometimes to coordinate. When I needed immediate assistance or a quick answer I just called them directly. If you notice at the bottom of the emails they include the number to the hotel. Just ask for the wedding department, it's open until about 6 pm EST. They all speak English at the front desk so it won't be an issue getting patched through. Also, once the date is booked, most of the actual preparation and planning isn't done until you meet with the WC when you arrive so I think that's why alot of them take a lacksidasical approach to responding to emails.

Hope some of this helps, good luck to you all, I'm sure you will be absolutely beautiful on your special day.

 Hi Trivera5521,

Yea I used Tropical pictures. I just posted when I saw your message lol. My pics came out awesome. We had Marlen, I definately recommend her. She was super professional and so sweet. Unfortunately, we didn't have a reception because it was a small wedding. I used the Trio and they played all my request. We're latinos so our songs were in spanish lol. I've included some pics with our wedding colors. They matched them perfectly to my girl's dresses.  The appetizers after the ceremony were AWESOME they gave us a ton of food and it was way better than what we had at dinner. H

Great pics Samsbride, and thank you for sharing...

I just got confirmation from Marlene for Sept 21, 2013...couldn't be more excited!!!!!!

I know people are having a hard time with Susana replying to emails, but Marlene seems to be getting back to me quite promptly lately.

Anyone have suggestions on how far in advance to send out save the dates/invitations?

I was hoping to have save the dates out by Sept...but I dont know if that is too early or late?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
