Coco I think Ncordero is right about the packages/food options.

On another note I finally got pictures of centerpieces WITH prices. Since we can potentially spend %&*#^ $500 on centerpieces atleast this will give me an idea for budgeting and weight out my options. Help me decide whether its most cost effective to bring my centerpieces or get them done by the resort. Of course prices are subject to change for 2013 but at the very least its an idea. If your interested email me at trivera5521@yahoo.com and I will respond back with the PDF.

Ladies,

I really do think they prioritize their responses based on when your wedding is. Marlene has been pretty responsive lately, which is still shocking to me considering the fact that it used to take weeks for her to respond when my wedding was more than a year away. Now that it's less than four months away, she responds within a day and is now asking me for more details. So don't fret, once your day gets closer, you'll start getting your responses in a more prompt fashion. Btw, after the judge was confirmed it took her another 3 weeks to send me an itemized bill for the 30% deposit...even after I harassed her with emails almost everyday. In the meantime, this forum is your greatest resource! Hope that eases some of your minds.

Hi Ladies

I know I have gone from posting all the time to not posting or responding at all. To those that have PM'd me I have not been ignoring you. I have been going through a mini wedding crisis that has caused us to change everything. I have not been able to get a passport for my son. And his father who has not seen him in 3 years, being the bootyshake.gif that he is has refused to sign the paperwork to allow him to travel. I have been going back and forth with the courts and the passport office and have gotten no where. Through the courts it takes foooooooooooooor ever. I started this process back in November. But after a huge blow up with his father 2 weeks ago, I realized we are not going to have it in time.

Now with saying all of that. We are not getting married in FT Lauderdale, FL and honeymooning in the DR. I'm sure you can imaging how stressfull, irritating and frustating this has become for me. We have been going back and forth with BBPD because the deposit is non-refundable and we want to have it applied to our stay instead so we don't just straight lose our money. But I have gotten nowhere fast with that. so we essentially threw away $900 that we will never get back. And seeing how we are paying for the wedding all by ourselves and we are closing on our house next month, now is not the time to be throwing away money.

With saying all of that. I will respond to the PM's by this weekend. I have just been really busy, basically starting from scratch planning this wedding.

Thanks ladies. You are all so sweet. Well. I got the best email today. Susan actually emailed me saying that they are going to refund the money and asked me for our wire info. Can you say happy and relieved. The past 2 weeks have been really hectic but it has been panning out. moving past square one. And getting excited about closing on our house next Friday. Ladies it all works out in the end. We will still be honeymooning in the DR so all is not lost. Just kinda rearranged a bit.

Octbride I'm sure you will have a beautiful wedding regardless of this change of plans!

I finally got the wire info and sent the deposit... I am now waiting on the final confirmation. I am probably going to do a site visit on August-September. How long have you girls stayed there when you did your site visits? 1-2 days? did you get to taste the food/cake and pick flowers, colors, etc?

Thank you!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
