Probably June 25th. I haven't submitted my reservation form as of yet because I am between the strawberry package and the tangerine package. I was also thinking about sending in the reservation after I purchased my plane tickets. Do you think I should send in the reservation form before confirming my vacation details?

Thank you MissJali...of course I don't mind! 1. ElizabethPerryCollections.com it's handmade do she takes 4-6 weeks to ship so I recommend ordering like 3 months before the wedding so that you don't freak out lol 2. Just the Ocean Front...you can still pay for club premium but it's not included in the upgrade. 3. I only did welcome bags for the bridal party and I included a personalized bathrobe and barefoot sandals and little travel kits and liquor for the guys. 4. I brought fans and bubbles for the ceremony and a personalized wedding card box box from perfectweddingbox.com and for favors/placecards I took leather luggage tags, I also brought personalized boxes with Jordan almonds inside among other things like starfish and yellow stones for the tables, oh and I also did my guest book on shutterfly using my engagement photos. 5. Yes my cousin literally decided to go two days before the wedding lol. Glad I could be of help!
Solo you looked so beautiful on your day, congrats!! Your headband looks gorgeous with the veil! Someone gave me a similar one as a gift in case I chose not to use a veil but now that I have a veil, I see that it can work with both! I love that you kept your hair down even though you had a beach ceremony, everyone keeps trying to talk me into an updo which I really don't like. Your review is so detailed and your photos came out amazing! The seashell was a great touch to the huppa but I wonder if they'll let me bring my own instead of paying $175... Did you provide the DJ with a playlist at all? My family is Dominican and considering the DJ is probably Dominican as well, I would love to assume that he would play enough of the latest Spanish music as well as English, but you never know!

I completely agree with MissJali. Get your date first! I confirmed my date on my own by contacting the Wedding Dept. at the resort. I sent them two emails within 2 weeks and when I still didn't get a response I bought a calling card and called over there. I told them I was waiting for a response to confirm my date and someone emailed me back within a day. After I confirmed my date, then I contacted delta vacations to arrange travel for me and our guests, I just let them know I had already confirmed the date with the resort. Also make sure you ask for confirmation of every email you send to the wedding dept. at BBPD

I already booked my date and picked the Strawberry and they give you the option of upgrading at any time!

Yes i don't exactly have the "up-do" face. If anything, I'll just make sure I do keratin 2 weeks before I leave to help with the frizz and pin it up later for the reception lol.

Hi NatJ-

We might run into each other! I'm June 18th and I'll be there the 15th-21st. I would send in the reservation form prior to booking your vacation but the resort has a good bit of availability. I believe my WC (Arise) said they do about 3 weddings a day. Who are you using to book travel? We went with the tangerine because Bar Higuey isn't included in the Strawberry (would have been an extra $500) and we wanted the international bar.

We are only going to be about 25-30 people so for now I was thinking of having everybody reserve on their own through like Expedia. Since we are coming from Miami its is relatively inexpensive for us that way. Cheaper than an agent. I didn't know Bar Higuey wasn't included in the Strawberry package! Do you think that area may be too big for the amount of people that I am taking?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
