Question for the ladies who have had their weddings already or anyone else who knows...

I have 3 wedding colors. Will they let me tie 3 ribbons on the white covered chairs? I really want all three colors on there. I tried picking just two but I can't think of two that I like.

Another question...

Is the buffet included in the Tangerine Sunset package or is only the banquet style dinner included (with one meal option). If the buffet is included, which tier is it? I read on this thread that there are I think 3 different tiers with the best one being the most expensive (of course). For the ladies that had the buffet at their wedding, is it good?! What are the options?

I'm seriously considering the buffet because I think buffets are great for small wedding parties since they allows people to get up, walk around, mingle and chat. Also because it's impossible to find one, or even two dishes that everyone will like. It's always good to have variety. But I am also trying to keep the cost down and minimize the added expenses. So just looking for more info on the buffet option.

Reign banquet style dinner is included in the Tangerine Package: Your entitled to pick one of each. You can give your guests options but of course they charge you above your primary choice. For instance you get one choice, lets say chicken then anyone who has fish or meat is $16 per person per plate. If you opt for either the fish or meat for your primary anyone who eats chicken $10. Same applies for the soup and salad options but of course are different prices.  The buffet options are even more and I believe have a minimum amount of people and those packages start at $40. I will try and find the menu and attach it here.

SALADS

Tomato salad with goat cheese pesto dressing

Cesar salad

Capresse salad

Curried marinated chicken and tomato salad

Ladies: Is anyone making a program for the wedding day? If so, what time are you anticipating having your wedding. I thought 4:00 would be good since the sunset on my wedding day is 7:00. Figure one hour cocktail hour and shoot for like a 7:00 reception? Still think there might be too much time in between the end of the cocktail hour and the time the reception starts. The package includes 3 hours are most extending it an additional hour?

For those who had their weddings already what did your schedule look like in terms of times??

The resort sent me a schedule for the day of, but we are thinking of changing a couple things. Our wedding is scheduled for 4:00...we will have the cocktail hour right after (which im trying to get the photography pushed back a little so we can enjoy a minute or two of that as well) and have a time of 6 to start the reception. But with pictures, and just even walking to the reception i would say 630...and then I am adding the extra hour because we are doing a bunch of traditional stuff like dances with mom/dad, toasts, etc and we dont want the dancing to end too early! I think 10:00 is still pretty early, but since we are at the resort it doesnt have to end,....I just thought adding that extra hour would keep the wedding celebration going, rather then just meeting up at one of the bars.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
